Bet on top markets like: UK General Election; USA Presiential Election 2028; USA 2026 Midterm Elections. Choose from over 14 Politics competitions, and place a Politics bet, either for an outcome (to Back) or against it (to Lay). Here on the Exchange, you can back or lay bets on markets like: "UK General Election - Most Seats"; "USA Presiential Election 2028 - Election Winner"; "USA 2026 Midterm Elections - Which party will control the House in 2026?" and get the odds you want.
How to bet on Politics
Betting on Politics is simple on the Betfair Exchange. Browse over 123 Politics bets, choose a market, such as: Non sport, and then either match a bet, or set the odds and place a Politics bet against others. You can bet for or against an outcome – e.g. if you're betting on UK - Next General Election, you can place a lay bet if you think Labour will lose, or you can place a back bet if you think Labour will win.
Understanding Politics Betting Odds
We show Politics betting odds on the Exchange in decimals. Politics decimal odds are easy to understand, because they represent the payout you'll get if you win – e.g. 7.4 means you'll receive 74 for every £10 you bet, including your stake, if the bet wins. The Politics odds shown in the blue boxes are set by the layers, and the odds shown in the pink boxes are set by the backers. As a Betfair member, you can ask for the Politics odds that you want.
