Bet on top markets like: English Premier League; Specials; Scottish Premiership. Choose from over 121 Football competitions, and place a Football bet, either for an outcome (to Back) or against it (to Lay). Here on the Exchange, you can back or lay bets on markets like: "English Premier League - Winner"; "English Premier League - Relegation"; "English Premier League - Top Half Finish" and get the odds you want.

How to bet on Football

Betting on Football is simple on the Betfair Exchange. Browse over 8286 Football bets, choose a market, such as: Winner; MARKET_TYPES.RELEGATION; MARKET_TYPES.TOP_10_FINISH, and then either match a bet, or set the odds and place a Football bet against others. You can bet for or against an outcome – e.g. if you're betting on Spain v Czechia, you can place a lay bet if you think Spain will lose, or you can place a back bet if you think Spain will win.

Understanding Football Betting Odds

We show Football betting odds on the Exchange in decimals. Football decimal odds are easy to understand, because they represent the payout you'll get if you win – e.g. 6.2 means you'll receive 62 for every £10 you bet, including your stake, if the bet wins. The Football odds shown in the blue boxes are set by the layers, and the odds shown in the pink boxes are set by the backers. As a Betfair member, you can ask for the Football odds that you want.
