Timeform View

MISTER SKY BLUE made a promising reappearance when second at Redcar last month and, having had excuses next time, he could be ready to get back to winning ways. Summerstorms Dream also wasn't seen to best effect on her latest outing and is feared most, with Zu Run interesting on the back of his latest effort.

Timeform Comments

Penny Mountain (IRE)
Opened account over 6f at Newcastle on New Year's Day. Several good efforts without winning since and seemed stretched by the step up to 1m when mid-field at the same course 8 days ago. Can give her running back down in distance.
Zu Run
Having dropped a long way in the weights since his Brighton success (7f) last spring, produced one of his better recent efforts (refitted with cheekpieces) when runner-up over the same C&D 12 days ago. Enters calculations.
Endowed
Won twice at Chepstow (6f) around this time last year and excuses on final 2 outings of the campaign, left poorly placed at Catterick (5f) when last seen in October. May just be better for this first run in 8 months, though.
Mister Sky Blue (IRE)
Sole success came over this C&D last spring. Ran well from his reduced mark when second at Redcar on this season's return, before not ideally placed when never-nearer seventh of 12 also at Redcar last time. Well worth another chance.
No Nay Nevermind (IRE)
Long-standing maiden who showed some encouragement at Newcastle (7f) on second start of the year. Hasn't kicked on from that effort since, well held at Carlisle 12 days ago, but she looks worth another try at this shorter trip.
Doon The Glen
Only win came in 6f minor event at Newcastle last spring, though has finished runner-up twice this year including in an Ayr handicap in May. Failed to stay 1m when sixth of 11 at Musselburgh 4 days ago. Back down in trip with visor reapplied.
Summerstorms Dream (IRE)
Still looking for a breakthrough victory, but shaped encouragingly after 10 months off when third at Ayr in May. Made effort away from the main action when fifth of 10 at the same course 3 weeks ago, so she could be in the mix with cheekpieces added.
Pebble Dash (IRE)
Remains a maiden but was beaten by only a neck in 7f Newcastle minor event in March. However, he hasn't been in the same form in handicaps last 3 starts and is yet to match his all-weather level on turf. Cheekpieces back on.
Shoptilyoudrop (FR)
Remains winless after 21 starts, but finished closer than previously for current yard when 3¾ lengths fourth of 11 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7f) in February. Task is now to build on that effort after 4 months off.
