COURT OF SESSION got back to winning ways in good style at Nottingham a week ago and can make light of a 4 lb penalty. Kyoto made a positive start to life in handicaps with his running-on Southwell fifth and could emerge as the main danger ahead of in-form duo Elvetham and Silky Robin.

Timeform Comments

Silky Robin (IRE)
First run on turf since landing a hat-trick last summer when bagging 8-runner handicap at Lingfield (5f) 22 days ago. Up 5 lb but he should remain competitive.
Skellig Isle
Resumed winning ways at Chelmsford City in March but largely below form since, fourth of 8 in handicap at Leicester (6f) 16 days ago. More is required.
Albert Cee (FR)
Gained a second win of 2026 in 11-runner handicap at Southwell (6f) 20 days ago, though he was suited by the way the race developed there and is 3 lb higher now.
Court Drive (IRE)
Twelve runs since her last win in 2025 and she was very slowly away when last of 6 in handicap at Wolverhampton (6f) 36 days ago.
Elvetham (IRE)
Won twice over 6f this spring on the all-weather and comes here on the back of two good third placings on turf at Windsor and Thirsk recently. Yet to score on this surface but ought to be thereabouts once more.
Big Bard
Kick-started 2026 with 6f win at Kempton in January but well below par there twice since, last of 11 on latter occasion in April.
Mart
On a lengthy losing run though he wasn't disgraced when fourth of 12 in handicap at Redcar (6f) 15 days ago. Needs to build on it.
Court Of Session
Capitalised on a falling mark in 9-runner handicap at Nottingham (6f) 7 days ago. Did that readily and easy to envisage another bold showing turned out under a 4 lb penalty.
Alafdhal (IRE)
Won 3 times from 4 starts in November/December but off since finishing last of 12 in handicap at Lingfield (6f) in February. Not seen on turf for around 20 months so this C&D winner needs to take a big step forward.
Kyoto (IRE)
Lightly-raced 4-y-o who made an encouraging starts in handicaps with fifth of 11 at Southwell (6f) 20 days ago, finishing well from a poor draw. Can build on it on his turf debut.
