Timeform View

A more competitive race than many at this level with VERY DEMURE awarded the vote in the hope more severe headgear sharpens her up. Last-time-out winner Lady of Clover, Lowestoft and Desert Charm are potential threats.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Caitlin G traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 4 starts.

Timeform Comments

Al Baahy
Won back-to-back races on the all-weather in this grade but has struggled to make much of an impact in handicaps since, creditable fifth of 13 at Doncaster (7f, good) 25 days ago. Hopes rest on return to classified company.
Desert Charm
Won this race a year ago and sound enough return to action when a keeping-on third over 7f at Southwell a month ago, faring best of those held up. Return to 1m will suit and she should be a major player.
Harry Don't Bite
Down the field at big prices all 5 starts. Turf debut.
Heer's Sadie
Back-to-back winner of handicaps here last summer. Shaped as though in need of the run when weakening out of things at Lingfield 3 weeks ago and better expected this time.
Lowestoft
Precious little in the way of solid form for Christine Dunnett but fitted with a tongue tie and more like it starting out for this yard when a keeping-on fourth at Southwell 3 weeks ago. Back up in trip and one to consider switched to turf.
Nicely Curved (USA)
Failed to win in the US but went close starting out for this yard when never-nearer second of 8 in classified stakes at Lingfield in February. In nothing like the same form 2 weeks later and well held over hurdles since.
Shaws Phoenix (IRE)
Long-standing maiden who showed little both starts for this yard on the back of a breathing operation. Headgear back on.
Lady Of Clover (IRE)
Well placed in a steadily-run affair when off the mark in this company at Wolverhampton (8.5f) last week. Expected to be a factor again at this level.
Caitlin G
Well held all 5 starts at up to 7f. Hood added.
Contemplation
Poor form in 4 outings for James Ferguson and no better for this stable, albeit latest Beverley effort can be excused having been caught wide.
Girls Allowed (IRE)
Reappearance/handicap debut at Leicester 2 weeks ago wasn't devoid of promise and on that evidence, 1m will suit. Not yet exposed.
Rockafeller Skank (IRE)
Failed to beat a rival in 3 starts during the autumn. This is much easier so needs a market check given connections.
Very Demure
Placed in a couple of handicaps, latterly over C&D before turning in a laboured effort at Redcar a month ago. More severe headgear may well do the trick down in class.
