With blinkers refitted and tongue strap added, ASFOORA took a step back in the right direction when not beaten far at Royal Ascot and she can build on that effort in this grade. The smart Australian mare is taken to get the better of Rumstar, who landed this race last year, while Words of Truth scored in good style over C&D on his latest outing.

Timeform Comments

Getreadytorumble
Developed into a useful sprinter last year with 3 victories and picked up where he left off when third in listed race at Naas in April. Has found things tougher upped in grade the last twice, though lost all chance at the start in King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Partisan Hero (IRE)
Campaigned in Bahrain over the winner and, making second start back in Britain, proved better than ever when landing 16-runner handicap at York (5f) in May. Backed that up when third at Epsom (6f) last month, though faces a difficult task in this grade.
Rumstar
Winner of this race last year and ran well on this season's return when second in the Palace House at Newmarket. Not ideally drawn in King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot 18 days ago, so he's worth another chance to build on his comeback run. Can make his presence felt.
Shagraan (IRE)
Successful twice at listed level in 2025 for Mick Appleby and shaped well on seasonal/stable debut when third in the Palace House at Newmarket, 2½ lengths behind Rumstar in second. Down the field both starts since, at Royal Ascot on latest, though did finish third in this race last year.
Asfoora (AUS)
3-time European Group 1 winner, landing the Nunthorpe at York and Prix de l'Abbaye at Longchamp last year. Low-key start this season, but went with much more spark when 2 lengths seventh of 26 in King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot (won same race in 2024). Leading contender in this grade.
Leovanni (IRE)
Excellent start to her career when winning her first 2 races in 2024, including the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot. Hasn't kicked on in only a handful of runs since, though, shaping as if amiss after another 4 months off (had a breathing operation) in the Wokingham back at Ascot 2 weeks ago.
Luna A Inbhir Nis
Most progressive at 3 yrs as she racked up 5 handicap victories. Left reappearance run behind when third in listed race at Carlisle in May, before left poorly placed when sixth of 15 in the same grade at Ayr 2 weeks ago. Will need to get back on the up in this contest, though.
Words Of Truth
Won 3 times as a juvenile including the Group 2 Mill Reef and, after 5 months off from a run in Dubai, proved as good as ever with a ready success at listed level here 3 weeks ago. Looks ready for a return to this higher grade.
Gold Digger (IRE)
Showed plenty in 2 starts as a juvenile, travelling well when sixth in the Albany at Royal Ascot. Landed the odds in a Windsor novice on this season's return and wasn't disgraced when ninth of 27 on handicap debut back at the Royal Meeting. Plenty to find here, but she remains with potential.
Palmeira
Remains a maiden but acquitted herself well in listed races on first 3 starts this season. However, making handicap debut she ran below form when fifth of 6 at Nottingham 2 weeks ago. Blinkers now the choice of headgear as she goes back up in grade.
