Timeform View

BIG WIN can build on his positive first start for James Owen and ensure that Electric Bass has to settle for second yet again. Southwell winner Cloudside Rock is next on the list in a finale where the other runners have a point to prove at present.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Big Win traded at a low of 2.60 and Betfair SP of 4.13 when losing last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

Cloudside Rock
Got off the mark over 1½m at Ffos Las last August and returned to win an 11f Southwell handicap at the end of April. Should remain competitive off 4 lb higher.
Big Win (FR)
Low-mileage sort who made a positive start for the excellent James Owen yard when second of 10 in handicap (3/1) at Bath (1¾m, good to firm) 15 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. Leading claims.
Port Of Entry (IRE)
Ex-French performer who showed a bit when 5½ lengths fifth of 9 in 2m Kempton handicap on British debut but well beaten back there next time. Now drops 4f in trip with a tongue tie added.
Bug Boy (IRE)
C&D winner. Returned from a year off to finish a remote fifth of 12 at Bath (11.5f, good to soft) last autumn. Absent a further 8 months since.
Electric Bass
Still seeking first win but runner-up several times, including both comeback starts this spring. Likely to be in the thick of things again.
Rosco Rogers (IRE)
Maiden who has raced mainly on all-weather on the Flat, finishing well held on his last 2 outings. A breathing operation since last seen 8 weeks ago needs to have a had a positive effect. Also has a first-time tongue tie added to his cheekpieces.
Wonderful Wendy
Has hinted at ability in her 2 outings this year and a switch to a low-grade handicap provides her with a much more realistic chance of success.
Baileys Warrior
Dual 2m all-weather winner in 2024 but struggled in the main last year and has something to prove back on turf after 8 months off.
Marinakis (IRE)
Won for Ian Williams earlier in the year but has run poorly on both outings for current yard.
