Timeform View

A chance is taken on HE'S GORGEOUS to quickly bounce back and gain a first success in a handicap chase. Jalila Moriviere can also make her presence felt on the back of a good recent effort, while her stablemate Ocastle des Mottes is anticipated to come on for his reappearance.

Timeform Comments

Jalila Moriviere (FR)
Useful chaser who won mares maiden at Sligo in October. Back on track when second of 20 in handicap chase at this course (2m, good, 18/1) in April. Back up in trip and can make presence felt from just a 1 Ib higher mark.
He's Gorgeous (IRE)
Has taken well to chasing, winning a Clonmel maiden and then making the frame in Grade 1 at Leopardstown in December. Slowly away and eventually pulled up in Mayo National Handicap Chase at Ballinrobe (23f, good) 13 days ago. Has first-time blinkers fitted and is the type to bounce back quickly.
Karoline Banbou (FR)
Runner-up on first 2 starts in maiden chases at Fairyhouse. Has proved disappointing both starts since, not always fluent and dropping away tamely in similar event at Wexford on latest start. Has work to do upped in trip on handicap debut.
Ocastle Des Mottes (FR)
Useful hurdler who matched that form at the first attempt in maiden chases when runner-up at Punchestown in November 2024. Let down by his jumping in only 2 starts since, returning from 14 months off when fourth of 7 at Cork in April, but it remains early days for him in this sphere.
Me Wee Bonnie Lass (IRE)
Has benefited from application of tongue strap last 2 starts, opening chase account with 10-length success in listed mares handicap at Fairyhouse (21f) last month. Remains on a workable mark based on hurdles form.
Captain Conby (IRE)
Useful hurdler/chaser on his day. Needed the run after 28 months off in Flat maiden in April and shaped as if still needing the outing in handicap chase at Wexford last month. Market can guide.
Glenashling (IRE)
Winning hurdler who's yet to taste success in chases. Improved efforts last twice in this sphere, creditable fourth of 10 in novice chase at Wexford (2m, good to soft) on latest 31 days ago. Steps back up in trip and is refitted with tongue strap.
El Champo (IRE)
Won twice over fences in 2025. Has yet to make any impact this season, including over hurdles the last twice. Hard to make a case for at present.
Mister Pink (IRE)
Useful novice hurdler in 2024/25 for Willie Mullins. Lightly raced for this yard in chases and looks to have been brought along with handicaps in mind. Market best guide.
Dutch Schultz
Lost his way after a promising start to last season but has failed to make any real impact since. Easy to look elsewhere.
Vaureal (FR)
Successful at Fairyhouse (21f, soft) in November and went close over the same C&D in April. Creditable fifth in cross-country race at this course (3m, good) 36 days ago.
Listentillitellyea (IRE)
Ran well in listed handicaps at Fairyhouse and Punchestown earlier last spring but was always behind on return from 10 months off last time. Engaged 13.50 Leopardstown Saturday.
The Gradual Slope (IRE)
Course winner. Capitalised on easing mark when winning 17-runner lady riders handicap chase at Fairyhouse (21f, soft, 16/1) in April by head from Vaureal, helped by being held up in strongly-run race. More required in this higher grade.
