Timeform View

Lightly-raced 3-y-o BINTARYANA makes plenty of appeal at the foot of the weights on the back of an improved showing when second on handicap debut at Haydock 3 weeks ago. It hasn't yet clicked for Rhyme Dust for her excellent stable but that may change back in a handicap so she's a danger, along with Ripon 1-2 Beaujolais Nouveau and Cotai Belle.

Timeform Comments

Rhyme Dust
Useful filly who signed off for Mark Usher with a very good third of 12 to Beautiful Diamond in listed race at Ayr (5.5f, soft) in September. Failed to fire both starts for Ralph Beckett at that level but very dangerous to rule her out back in a handicap.
Beaujolais Nouveau
Ended 2025 out of sorts and quiet return to action but sparked into life by cheekpieces when winning 9-runner handicap at Ripon by 2¼ lengths from Cotai Belle 3 weeks ago. 7 lb rise asks for more and dominating this field could be a different ask but she's clearly in excellent order.
Dandana
Won 6f novices on first 2 starts last summer before finishing 5½ lengths fourth of 11 to Royal Fixation when stepped up to Group 2 company in the Lowther over C&D. Presumably amiss in Firth of Clyde Stakes at Ayr when last seen in September but she's in very capable hands.
Eternal Sunshine
Completed a hat-trick in the Portland at Doncaster in September and carried on in fine fettle during the autumn (undone by a wide draw over C&D final 2025 start). Low-key start to 2026 and still above that winning mark but she'll doubtless come good at some point this year for her shrewd yard.
Lady Roxby
Improved for the switch to current yard last season, scoring at Beverley in July and runner-up on 4 of her 5 other starts. Looked as good as ever when third on Kempton reappearance and easy enough to excuse defeat from tough terms in listed company at Haydock 3 weeks ago.
Mercury Day (IRE)
Ought to have landed a third career success on the Newmarket July course last summer, reportedly struck into and just failing having been left with plenty to do. Caught wide and ran below form after 9 months at Kempton recently so needs to leave that effort well behind.
Shallow
Front runner who was revitalised in cheekpieces when narrowly denied on return to turf at Yarmouth in April (7f). Unable to bag prominent pitch back at 6f at Ripon last time but did enough in third to suggest she's still in good form.
Splish Splash (IRE)
Daughter of Wootton Bassett who made all in a Haydock maiden (good to soft) in October before finishing third of 19 in listed event at Newmarket (6f) a fortnight later. Well held on reappearance then had a difficult draw last time so this should be a better guide as to her well-being.
Cool Molly (IRE)
Different proposition this year, registering her fourth all-weather success at Southwell (7f) in April. Ran a cracker making turf debut when running-on third at Chester (7.6f) and now back at 6f having raced too freely at Goodwood 3 weeks ago. Also engaged 3.12 Chester.
Cotai Belle (IRE)
Successful twice as a juvenile. Left with a lot to do after being dropped in from a low stall when eighth of 13 on Ripon reappearance (6f) and much more like it when 2¼ lengths second of 9 to Beaujolais Nouveau over the same C&D 4 weeks ago.
Siouxpersonic (IRE)
Off mark for Edward Bethell at the fifth attempt in 5f maiden at Southwell in September. Changed hands for 40,000 gns after and matched that form when just failing at Ripon in April, well suited by return to 6f. Drying ground and application of a hood possibly against her latest. Cheekpieces now on.
Bintaryana
Won 6f maiden at Nottingham on second start in April and heavily backed, she settled better than at Southwell when an excellent second at Haydock (5f) 3 weeks ago. Nudged up 2 lb but this sharp 6f should be right up her street and she's unexposed. Major claims.
