Timeform View

LADY BRANKSOME took a big step forward and showed plenty of speed when second at Ripon a fortnight ago sp she may well prove too good for her rivals. Belardo Ace has a similar profile and looks the danger, while Zambezi Shark is a fairly interesting newcomer on paper.

Timeform Comments

Towelontheterrace (IRE)
Foaled April 20. €40,000 foal (private sale), 62,000 gns yearling, £10,000 2-y-o (private sale), Blackbeard colt. Half-brother to several winners, including 5f/6f winner Abrantes and winner up to 1m Ategorrieta. Dam 2-y-o 9f/1¼m winner. In-form yard's first juvenile runner of the season.
Belardo Ace
Left his debut form behind when a good length second in 5f Windsor novice 11 days ago, forcing the favourite to battle. 6f will suit and he's a key player despite his wide draw.
Harry's Pop
32,000 gns yearling, Harry Angel colt. Dam, 5f winner, half-sister to useful 6f winner Mr Kiki. 11/1, green but showed some ability when seventh of 12 in maiden at Windsor (6f) on debut 20 days ago. Entitled to improve.
Zambezi Shark
Foaled March 6. 35,000 gns yearling, Aclaim colt. Half-brother to several winners, including 5f/6f winner Queen Jo Jo and winner up to 1m Mr Minerals, both useful. Dam 5.5f winner. Appealing on paper and worth a look.
Isca Bay (IRE)
NON RUNNER.
Lady Branksome (IRE)
Much improved from her debut when chasing home a promising winning newcomer of Karl Burke's in 6f Ripon novice a fortnight ago, leading to 1f out and finishing clear of the remainder (the third opened her account at Pontefract on Monday). Can progress further and leading claims.
Koodini (IRE)
Not seen to best effect either start here last month and might be one to look out for in nurseries in due course.
Metamouse (IRE)
Dubawi Legend colt who offered something to work on when a keeping-on fourth of 12 in 6f Chepstow maiden 22 days ago. May do better and has stall 1.
Trust Havana (IRE)
Sales price dipped to £17,000 earlier this year and having been sent off 80/1 she proved far too green on her debut here a fortnight ago (missed break and always behind).
Trust In Far (IRE)
Big odds and well beaten in 6f Haydock maiden and C&D seller.
