Timeform View

DOYEN WOLF, runner-up in a point on debut, looks worth chancing to make a successful start over fences in what rates a weak handicap. Rajjnatin was well supported on his chasing debut and may improve for that initial experience, while U Asking Me also warrants respect.

Timeform Comments

The Rebel County (IRE)
Won novice hunter at Tipperary on chasing bow but hasn't built on that since, including in open handicap company, though ran one of his better efforts in this sphere when 17¾ lengths fourth of 11 to Dinoland at Tramore last time.
Shantou Show (IRE)
Twelve runs since last win in 2023 and hasn't made much of an impact this season. Hard to fancy.
Big Island (IRE)
On long losing run but ran as well as he has for a while 16½ lengths fourth of 10 to Journey So Far in maiden chase at Tramore last time, albeit typically not fluent. Claims if putting in a clear round of jumping.
Sampoet (IRE)
Fair maiden chaser who hasn't pulled up any trees in a couple of start over hurdles of late. Something to prove now back over fences.
Ferdia (IRE)
Winning hurdler/chaser who showed first form since returning from a lengthy absence in December when 20¼ lengths sixth of 11 to Dinoland at Tramore last time. Left impossible task that day and potentially thrown in if building on that, with yard back among the winners of late.
Miss Lia (IRE)
Runner-up 4 times in handicap hurdles in 2025/26 but didn't take to chasing on sole attempt. On a good mark but needs to prove her effectiveness in this sphere.
Malton Groove (IRE)
Remains a maiden after 31 runs and not a lot of encouragement to be gleaned from his most recent starts. Hard to fancy.
Thehairyfella (IRE)
Scraped home when opening his account over 3m here on good to firm ground last summer but was below his best on return from a 7-month absence at Cartmel and, given his quirks, remains a tricky one to assess at present.
Doyen Wolf (IRE)
Runner-up on sole start in British points. Has yet to better poor form over hurdles but has very few miles on the clock for one his age and shaped better when 4¾ lengths third of 16 to The Eggler in 2½m handicap hurdle at Sligo last time. Booking of good-value conditional catches the eye.
Jimli's Cave (IRE)
Winner over hurdles at this course in 2024/25 and twice placed over fences here early last season, though lost his way afterwards and there wasn't much promise to be gleaned from his run here last month.
U Asking Me (IRE)
Clonmel handicap hurdle winner who got back on track over fences when third of 7 at Wexford last summer. Probably needed run when never better than mid-field back over hurdles 15 days ago and potentially has more to offer in this sphere, if staying this longer trip. Wears first-time blinkers.
Toor Moon (IRE)
Remains a maiden after 38 runs and well beaten on last 3 starts, including over both hurdles and fences at this course.
Rajjnatin (IRE)
Still a maiden under Rules but twice placed over hurdles since joining this yard and was well supported prior to being well held on his chasing debut in between. Worth monitoring in the market.
Fr Gilligansvoyge
Inconsistent veteran that is on a losing run stretching back over 3 years but posted best effort for some time when 3¼ lengths second of 10 to Menas Miracle in handicap chase at Tramore last time. Not sure to be in same form, though, and races from 3 lb out of the handicap.
