BEAGLE BAY made it 2 wins from 3 starts this year when making a successful handicap debut at Yarmouth a month ago, form which has been working out well, and he can continue his progress with this longer trip expected to suit. He is taken to see off the challenge of Raammee, who remains capable of better on the back of his recent run, with High Degree also considered.

Timeform Comments

Cash (IRE)
Winless since debut back in 2021 but has still reached a smart level, getting back on track making a belated handicap debut when runner-up at Doncaster when last seen in September. Will need things to drop right on return given his usual hold-up style.
Circus Of Rome
Made good progress in 2025, winning handicaps at around 1½m at Newbury and Newcastle last summer. With hood applied (now discarded), caught the eye from a poor position when fifth of 9 at Goodwood on return, though the further drop back in trip might not be ideal.
Hard Endeavor (FR)
Confirmed previous promise when landing the odds in a Kempton novice (1m) in November. Advanced his form upped to listed level when fifth of 7 at Deauville (9.5f) later the same month, though was well held making seasonal/handicap debut at Newbury last month.
Raammee
Looked smart prospect when winning pair of all-weather novices last year. After 9 months off, raced too freely when fourth of 7 on handicap debut over this C&D 16 days ago, so he's worth another chance with hood now added.
High Degree
Opened account at the third time of asking at Ffos Las (1m) last summer. Didn't manage to kick on in handicaps next 3 starts, but after 7 months off (gelded) he got back on the up when second of 11 at Newbury (1¼m) in May. Respected back down in trip.
Sean (GER)
Capitalised on a falling mark when getting back to winning ways at Meydan (9.5f) in January. Excuses at the same course next 2 outings but ran poorly there when last seen in March. Fitted with tongue strap for return to Britain.
Shafdar (IRE)
Maiden winner on second start for current yard in February and quickly left behind a lesser effort when landing an Epsom handicap in April. Met trouble in running when down the field in Victoria Cup at Ascot last time, so he could bounce back.
Beagle Bay (FR)
Landed the odds at Chelmsford on return and showed improved form when doubling his tally on handicap debut at Yarmouth (7f) last month, well on top at the finish. Major player with more still to offer back up in trip.
Hot Cash
Winner of the Carlisle Bell last summer but ended the year on a low-key note. However, he's returned to form with good runner-up efforts the last twice, bumping into an improver at Epsom 8 days ago.
Tilted Kilt (FR)
Benefited from a drop back in grade after 6 months off when successful at Southwell in April, enhancing his good record fresh. However, wasn't in the same form back in stronger company at Ascot since.
Cogitate (IRE)
Winner at Salisbury last spring and returned to that form when making the frame in 4 consecutive starts at Kempton, runner-up in March on return. Not disgraced in 3 subsequent outings, third of 7 over this C&D 16 days ago. Has since left Charles Hills with cheekpieces now added.
Joolianoss (IRE)
Won on all-weather first 3 starts last year and, after 3 months off, was suited by a strong pace when resuming winning ways in 11-runner contest at Ascot 6 weeks ago. Remains lightly raced on turf.
