ROGUE BULLET had something to spare at Brighton last Sunday and can make it 2-2 since joining James Owen. Ancient State bolted up at Newmarket last week and would be a possible threat if showing up after/instead of Newcastle on Friday.

Has improved for the switch to Adam Kirby this season, bagging a second win in 16-runner handicap at Newmarket (6f) last Friday. Had lots to spare so an 8 lb rise isn't harsh. Engaged 8.03 Newcastle on Friday.
Rogue Bullet (IRE)
Made a winning start for the excellent James Owen yard over 5f at Brighton (good) on Sunday. Looks well treated under a 5-lb penalty.
Kiss And Run
Close second over 5f at Windsor (good to firm) last month but no more than a respectable 4 lengths fifth of 9 at Sandown (5f, good to soft) since.
Lazzar (IRE)
Had an excellent winter on the all-weather. Best effort back on turf in recent months when respectable fourth of 10 in handicap at Salisbury (6f, heavy) 18 days ago. Being eased another 2 lb can only help.
Sam's Xpress (IRE)
Thrived for current yard last year, winning 4 times on all-weather in second half of the campaign. Freshened up since a couple of lesser runs in March. 0-15 on turf so it might be best to look elsewhere.
