ON KEY has never won but his recent form is good so this front runner could make a bold bid to get off the mark from a handy stall. Trust Sergei is another who comes here on the back of a creditable effort, while White Umbrella merits respect back at this venue.

Timeform Comments

Em Jay Kay
Won a 6f handicap at Lingfield in January but below form both starts since. Returns after 107-day absence back in 0-60 company with an unhelpful draw to contend with.
King David (IRE)
Hasn't won in 19 starts but faces different circumstances to when down field over 1m on turf recently, now returning to all-weather and dropping to 6f with blinkers and tongue strap back on. Also drops into 0-60 company for the first time which makes him of some interest but high draw won't help.
Teardrops
In good form in March but struggled without usual equipment on both runs since joining this yard, most recently eleventh of 12 over C&D 27 days ago. Looks best opposed once more.
White Umbrella
Three-time C&D winner who has tumbled down the weights this year. Ran too badly to be true on turf last time and is capable of proving a different proposition now 4 lb below last winning mark and back down in grade at her favoured track.
Master Dandy (IRE)
In good form on all-weather during January but no promise last 3 starts, including on turf on latest outing and he's set to struggle again.
Thanks Dad
Hard to fancy on poor efforts both outings this year, but they did come on turf and he's better known for all-weather exploits so the return to this surface is one reason he could perk up. Engaged 8.35 Chepstow Saturday.
Alafdhal (IRE)
Five-time course winner with the latest one coming in December. Below par since but might have needed run on turf last time. Could strip fitter for that and is now below last winning mark but stall 13 is a stumbling block.
Trust Sergei
Has been inconsistent but returned to form when runner-up dropped to 5f at this track in May. A reproduction of that effort back up in trip should see him once more in the mix.
On Key
Maiden after 21 starts but in good order when placed on turf last 2 outings, with both of those races working out reasonably well for the grade. Returns to all-weather where he's placed before and could make a bold bid from the front if not inconvenienced by the removal of cheekpieces.
Last Outlaw (IRE)
Shaped as if back in form at Chelmsford in January but failed to build on that when fifth of 9 in a handicap at Southwell in February. Off 137 days since and now starts out for a new yard minus regular equipment.
Sunlit Sea
Yet to win but lightly raced compared to most of these and probably needed run when eighth of 9 at Carlisle 13 days ago on turf debut after 6 months off. Returns to all-weather and could take a hand if first-time cheekpieces have a positive effect.
Barry The Worm
Won over C&D in November but not in same form either start this year, though had heavy going as an excuse most recently. Has quickly eased back around his winning mark and could go well if return to this venue proves the key.
Porfin (IRE)
Ended losing run at Lingfield in January. Mixed record since and ran just respectably from the rear on last couple of outings. Well drawn and may be able to achieve more if able to return to more prominent tactics here.
