None of the quartet can be discounted but Dan Skelton's EDELAK scored easily on his handicap bow at Stratford and can defy a 7 lb rise in the weights at the chief expense of the handily-weighted Caelan. Hope Rising isn't one to rely on but rates a big danger if getting away on level terms having whipped round at the start last time.

Timeform Comments

Morning Mayhem
C&D winner who resumed winning ways in 2m handicap hurdle at Newton Abbot in June. Not discredited when last of 4 in handicap there (2¼m) 16 days ago but revised mark does demand that bit more now.
Hope Rising (IRE)
Unreliable type (has refused to race) and she whipped round at the start for the second time in her last 3 runs when a length second of 5 (lost around 20 lengths at start) in handicap hurdle at Stratford (19f) 29 days ago. This C&D scorer must still enter calculations, though.
Edelak (IRE)
A fairly useful winner at 1½m on Flat for Johnny Murtagh. On the up for his new yard over hurdles following a breathing operation, making it 2 wins from last 3 starts in 3-runner handicap hurdle at Stratford (2m) 12 days ago. Up 7 lb but he's a player once more for top yard.
Caelan (IRE)
Won 2m maiden hurdle at Worcester in September and plenty of good efforts since, latest when fourth of 8 in handicap hurdle at Aintree (17f) last month. Very much one to consider eased 1 lb.
