HALFWAY HOUSE LAD was impressive when scoring over C&D last month and can maintain his unbeaten start for the Moffatt yard. Star Turn is interesting on his second try over fences, with Croagh Patrick also considered.

Timeform Comments

Shantou Show (IRE)
Winless since 2023 and failed to justify his prominent position in the betting when seventh of 12 in handicap chase at Downpatrick (3m, good to firm) 15 days ago. Others preferred.
You Did (IRE)
Dual winner over hurdles towards the end of 2025. Seemed to struggle with very testing ground when last seen at Doncaster in February. Well held on both his outings in points and betting might prove best guide now chasing.
Halfway House Lad
Made a successful debut for this yard in a 13-runner handicap chase at Hexham (3m, good) early in May and didn't need to improve to follow up with a strong-travelling display in a 9-runner handicap chase over C&D (good, 6/5) 36 days ago. Makes plenty of appeal again under 10 lb claimer.
Judicial Review (IRE)
Has won 3 times at this track, including over C&D but he's never been the easiest to catch right and was only sixth of 12 in handicap chase at this course (21f, good) 36 days ago. Back up in trip. Engaged 4.23 here Friday.
Lights Are Green (IRE)
Stopped the slide after 7 months off when third over C&D last month and might've still been feeling the effects of a gruelling race there when pulled up at Hexham 3 weeks ago. Pulled up more times than he's completed of late, though, so is probably opposable again.
Blazing Court (IRE)
A while since he's offered any encouragement for yard, albeit unseating through no fault of his own here last month. Up in trip.
Star Turn
Has returned from a 14-month break in good form with a pair of placed efforts over hurdles at Ffos Las. Went with little fluency on previous start over fences but he's in much better heart this time and isn't discounted with blinkers replacing the visor.
Croagh Patrick (IRE)
Went off the boil for Sam England but proved he retains some ability on second start for this yard when second of 7 in handicap chase at Hexham (3m, good) 15 days ago. Considered if able to back that up.
Aill Dubh (IRE)
Reacted well to a change of tactics when making all under McMenamin at Newcastle (23f, good) in March and shaped as if still in decent form when fourth of 8 in handicap chase at Perth (3m, good to soft) 46 days ago, leading for a long way until weakening 2 out. Frame claims again.
Kingofthegame (IRE)
Has been getting his act together and belatedly got off the mark in a 10-runner handicap hurdle (5/1) at this course (25f, good) 32 days ago. Has been placed a couple of times over fences and this substantial sort isn't completely discounted from lower chase mark.
