Timeform View

FARASI LANE is no stranger to success at this course and, having worked his way back down to his last winning mark, looks worth chancing returned to 1m. Sovereign View retains the potential for better still and is feared most, while I’m Workin On It rarely runs a bad race at this venue.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Showcasing Star traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 25% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 4 starts: Arctic Thunder traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Saytarr
Completed a hat-trick for current connections in 12-runner event at Newcastle (1m) in March and ran well when third at Ascot last month. Unsuited by how the race unfolded at Sandown last time and could easily bounce back here, having won 5 of his last 6 on the all-weather.
I'm Workin On It
Has taken his form up a notch in 2026, gaining a third course success this year when making all in 14-runner event last month before running another cracker here (7f) when neck second of 11 to Chalk Mountain 22 days later. Can be excused effort back on turf last time.
Percy's Lad
Front runner with a good Chester record but hasn't fired this year (including at that track) and a leap of faith required for all he's looking very well handicapped now.
Dutch Kingdom (IRE)
Useful on all-weather at best for Darryll Holland but lost his way and no encouragement in 3 starts for current connections.
Revelance
Won Salisbury novice and 3-runner Epsom handicap (8.5f) last summer. Remains lightly raced returning from 8 months off and could easily have more to offer as a 4-y-o.
Chalk Mountain
Won at this course on final start in 2025 and picked up where he left when following up here in May. Wasn't in the same form back on turf at Newbury last time, though, and while return to this venue will suit, his best form has come up to 7f.
Arctic Thunder (IRE)
Has become frustrating to follow (losing run stretches back over 2 years) but not for the first time not seen to best effect when sixth of 16 in handicap at Epsom (7f) 24 days ago, left poorly placed. Looks worth another crack at this longer trip on balance.
Farasi Lane (IRE)
Landed back-to-back handicaps at Wolverhampton in March and hasn't been seen to best effect really since, nearest finish when 2 lengths fifth of 11 to Chalk Mountain in 7f event at this course last time. Now back on last winning mark and return to 1m in his favour.
Mr Baloo (IRE)
Resumed winning ways in first-time cheekpieces at Lingfield in April. Below that level since, including twice on turf, but has edged back down to last winning mark.
San Juanito
Won twice at Wolverhampton last spring for Simon & Ed Crisford. Struggled for form subsequently, though, and out with the washing on return 18 days ago.
Sovereign View
Turned in a career best when second of 7 in handicap at Southwell (1m) on his return in April but failed to back that up on turf 7 weeks later. Remains relatively unexposed compared to most of these and not hard to see him being involved if he can overcome wide draw.
Enemy Agent
Justified support to make a winning debut in 1m maiden at this course in March, but has come up short in novice event and handicap on turf since. Questions to answer with first-time blinkers now reached for.
Director's Cut (IRE)
Won 1m Newcastle novice for the Gosdens in 2025, but has failed to kick on in 2 starts this year, including on handicap debut on latest. Makes first start for new connections after changing hands for £28,000 in May. Wears first-time cheekpieces.
Showcasing Star (IRE)
Runner-up in all-weather maidens/novice on first 3 starts but cut little ice switched to a handicap and turf at Chester 17 days ago. Should be suited by return to artificial surface but improvement needed.
