CHALLY CHUTE made a winning start for Ross O'Sullivan in this contest last season and arrives on the back of an encouraging reappearance at Limerick earlier this month. He can take the prize home again. Starford and Bosphorous Rose are feared most.

Timeform Comments

Chally Chute (IRE)
Proved a revelation for his new yard last season, winning this event first time up and ending campaign with victory in Loughbrown Stakes at the Curragh (2m) in November. Posted creditable second in listed race over this trip on return at Limerick 11 days ago and is sure to be involved here.
Starford (IRE)
Smart handicap performance to score at Listowel last September and made the breakthrough at pattern level in the Alleged Stakes at the Curragh (1¼m) in April. Not seen to best effect at Chester since and must be of interest here.
Counting Coup (IRE)
Off the mark at first time of asking on Flat when taking 9-runner maiden over similar trip at Down Royal 10 days ago. Should be more to come but asked a bigger question now.
Shaool (IRE)
Improved in leaps and bounds last season, following up her win in strong Curragh handicap with an emphatic success in listed race at Leopardstown in October. Yet to fire this term, though, struggling in Group company latest. Can't be ruled out.
Abbey Actress (IRE)
Useful mare who capitalised on a drop in grade when landing 7-runner handicap over shorter trip at Leopardstown 19 days ago, pushed out. This looks much tougher, though. Cheekpieces on first time.
Bosphorus Rose
Developed into a useful filly for Sir Mark Prescott Bt last season, winning 4 times. Sold for 150,000gns and made a good start for new yard when third of 9 in Munster Oaks (7/1) at Cork (1½m, good) 16 days ago. Respected.
Kalixa (IRE)
Fairly useful filly who matched best form for Dermot Weld when third of 4 in minor event (7/1) at Bellewstown in October. Not seen since, however, and faces a stiff task on return for new yard here.
Dreamkeeper (IRE)
Much improved when winning 17-runner maiden at Fairyhouse (1½m, good to soft) 18 days ago, forging clear. Thrown into listed company now but may have more to offer yet.
