Preference is for SNATCH A GLANCE, who wasn't beaten far on his handicap debut at Market Rasen last month and is still unexposed over this sort of trip. Tyson and Lion of The Desert look the principal dangers.

Timeform Comments

Jackstell (FR)
Bumper winner in Ireland who completed a hat-trick of hurdle victories for this yard on handicap debut at Plumpton (20.5f) in November. Probably needed the run when well behind Snatch A Glance last time, though now has 2 below-par runs to bounce back from.
Snatch A Glance
Fair performer who landed a Ludlow bumper in October and made it second time lucky over hurdles at same course a month later. Likely better than bare result when third of 7 in handicap hurdle at Market Rasen latest and runner-up has franked the form since. Shortlist material.
Balboa
Ended a long losing run in 9-runner handicap hurdle at Ayr (2½m, heavy, 10/3) in April. Below that level at Hexham since, however, and others appeal more.
Tyson (GER)
Off the mark over hurdles at Newcastle (2½m) in March and back on the up when readily winning 5-runner handicap over similar trip at Huntingdon last month. Posted good second at Warwick (3¼m, good to firm) since and ought to go well again here.
Prince De Juilley (FR)
Three-time winner who was in a consistent streak of form when only finding a fairly useful type too good at Hereford in early November. Should strip fitter for recent reappearance run at Worcester and can't be ruled out. Cheekpieces back on.
Lion Of The Desert (IRE)
Posted career best when good second of 10 in handicap hurdle over C&D (good) 31 days ago, having run of race. 3 lb higher now but would have likely won that contest but for a late mistake. Player.
The Gypsy Davey (IRE)
Not seen in this sphere since 2024 and has rather lost his way over fences of late. Visored for first time. Makes limited appeal on handicap hurdle debut.
Minella Double (IRE)
Gambled on and returned to form from out of the blue when second of 6 in handicap hurdle at Huntingdon 13 months ago. However, reportedly bled on sole start since and clearly comes with risks attached.
