Timeform View

This can go to a newcomer, with SQUADRON preferred over See The Mountain before any betting clues. Galipi was well fancied on debut at Ffos Las but wasn't seen to best effect and is worth another chance with improvement likely.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Jiro could be expected to race prominently. Of those in the front half of the betting forecast, Galipi might be well positioned in a slowly run affair: Of the better-fancied horses, Squadron is most likely to be ridden furthest from the pace.

Timeform Comments

Breacher
Foaled April 14. Cracksman colt. Dam 11.6f/1½m winner. Suspect he'll need more time and further.
Galipi (IRE)
88,000 gns foal, 72,000 gns yearling, Galiway colt. Half-brother to several winners, including useful 11.4f/1½m winner Zillow and 6.5f winner Genetique. All the rage in the betting but not seen to best effect in a muddling race on debut at Ffos Las (7.4f, soft). Will improve.
Jiro
75,000 gns 2-y-o by Perfect Power. Got more expensive each time he was sold but proved very green and finished tailed off on debut at Newmarket (6f) in May. The first 2 in that race are smart prospects and he can do better.
Power Effort
Foaled January 24. Good Effort colt. Dam, 1¼m winner who stayed 1½m, half-sister to smart winner up to 7f Racer Forever out of useful 2-y-o 6f winner Ras Shaikh. Yard can ready one and he's worth a look.
Rafe's Da Man
Remote fourth of 6 in maiden at Lingfield (7f, good to firm, 9/2) on debut 43 days ago. Plenty of stamina in his pedigree and probably one for handicaps later on.
See The Mountain
Foaled January 31. 70,000 gns Kameko colt. Dam, 1¼m winner, half-sister to 1½m winner (stayed 1¾m) Latrobe and winner up to 1¼m (stayed 1½m) Pink Dogwood (both smart). Interesting newcomer for leading stable.
Spruce
Foaled March 8. Advertise half-brother to 5f winner Dothan. Dam, sprint maiden, closely related to smart 5f winner Dutch Masterpiece. The betting should help guide to expectations with this newcomer.
Squadron
Foaled March 30. Frankel colt. Dam, winner up to 9.5f (including US Grade 1 over 8.5f and 2-y-o 7f winner), half-sister to smart 1m winner Tsar. Makes obvious paper appeal.
