Timeform View

STORMING POINT continued the positive start to his career when runner-up to another promising type at Windsor last time and he looks ready to open his account. The chief threat may well come from a newcomer as Aleatrix makes appeal on paper, though Zachary Hickes remains with potential this year.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Storming Point traded at a low of 2.00 and Betfair SP of 5.50 when losing last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

Paniolo Creek
Eastern Anthem horse. Dam, lightly raced in France, half-sister to useful 9.5f-1½m winner Ed de Gas. Looks to face a tough ask making a belated first start.
Sevenkingsmustdie (IRE)
Cost 425,000 gns as a yearling but little impact in 2 bumpers and fared no better on Flat debut when well held in novice at Windsor (1¼m) 22 days ago.
Zachary Hickes
Shaped encouragingly when making the frame in a 1m Kempton novice only start in 2024. Subsequently missed 18 months (gelded) and is entitled to have needed the run when sixth of 14 in similar event at Windsor (1¼m) 22 days ago. Could yet do better.
Al Qatem
Bred to be useful and sent off odds on to make a winning start, but failed to meet those expectations when down the field in a Wolverhampton maiden (8.6f) at the beginning of the month. Clearly thought capable of better.
Storming Point
Went close to making a winning debut at Newbury in October and has also shaped promisingly both starts this season, beaten only by the odds-on favourite in 11-runner novice at Windsor (1m) 22 days ago. Leading contender with more still to offer.
Virtue Diligence
Hasn't managed to get involved in his 2 starts so far, returning from 9 months off when eighth of 14 in novice at Windsor (1¼m) 22 days ago.
Aleatrix
Study of Man filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including 1m winners Ebury (useful) and A L'Anglaise. Dam, 1½m winner, closely related to 11.6f winner Dragon Dancer and temperamental winner up to 2¼m Ajaan (both smart). Interesting newcomer for much-respected connections.
