Timeform View

CHIWARA gets the nod to go one better at the second time of asking in this fillies' maiden. Ash Tree cost plenty as a yearling and looks the most interesting of the newcomers prior to the help of any market clues, while Bearly Blue also has to be considered.

Timeform Comments

Ash Tree (IRE)
Foaled March 27. €240,000 yearling, Blue Point filly. Sister to useful 2-y-o 7f winner Archer Royal and half-sister to several winners, including 1m/8.6f winner Takeko. Dam unraced. Yard had a 2-y-o debutant winner here last week and will be worth a market check on debut.
Bearly Blue (IRE)
Knew more second time up when runner-up in 8-runner maiden at Goodwood (6f, heavy, 9/1) 20 days ago, without being a match for the odds-on winner. No reason to think she won't go well again.
Chiwara (IRE)
Sands of Mali filly. Speedily-bred sort who found only the standard-setter too good in maiden at Ripon (6f, good to firm, 9/2) on debut 15 days ago. The winner failed to frank the form in a higher grade at the weekend but a repeat effort could well be good enough here.
Fairy Well (IRE)
Foaled March 11. 180,000 gns yearling, Dark Angel filly. Sister to 2-y-o 5f/6f winner Rum Therapy. Dam, winner up to 1m (2-y-o 5f winner), half-sister to useful 2-y-o 6f winner Isle of Fernandez. Second of 2 runners in the race for the yard and she's bred to be a speedy juvenile.
Grey Tamam (IRE)
Foaled April 10. €140,000 2-y-o, Churchill filly. Dam, winner up to 1m (2-y-o 5f winner) who stayed 1¼m, half-sister to useful 1¼m/11f winner Piano. Connections can ready one, though she may need more time given pedigree.
Nicely (IRE)
Foaled January 21. €19,000 foal, £95,000 2-y-o, Persian Force filly. Half-sister to useful winner up to 1m Josephino. Dam 2-y-o 7f winner.
