Timeform View

The well-bred STORMY MUSIC gets the vote in an open-looking novice, with confidence even higher if the market speaks in her favour. Kenergy has to enter calculations given his solid course form, while Veil Of Clouds is expected to improve over a longer trip.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Shadow Brigade traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 3 starts.

Timeform Comments

Khaleejy (IRE)
Sea The Stars gelding who didn't go unsupported when making a belated winning debut at Newcastle (7f). Backed that up with an encouraging fourth under similar conditions over C&D last time, and he's entitled to give another good account.
Charlie's Cannon (IRE)
110,000 gns yearling, New Bay gelding. Half-brother to 2-y-o 7f winner Harold Shand and 7f winner Unpresuming. Dam unraced half-sister to high-class winner up to 1m Toormore and very smart winner up to 1m Estidhkaar. Already gelded/wears hood for debut, but he's well bred and in excellent hands.
Kenergy (FR)
Built on his debut C&D fourth when close third over 1m here in early-April. That form sets a fairly useful standard, and he may well get the run of the race again.
Landslide
Showed more than on debut when fifth of 6 in a Brighton maiden (6f), but didn't look the most straightforward even with cheekpieces/hood fitted (left off here).
Screen Actor (USA)
$100,000 yearling, 40,000 gns 2-y-o, Twirling Candy gelding. Could hardly have shown less on debut at Windsor (1m, good to soft) earlier this month.
Shadow Brigade (IRE)
Expensive purchase finished third behind a now useful pair in a C&D novice second time up. Discouraging effort here last September, however, he's since been gelded and connections opt for another crack at a novice on return.
Gift Box
10,000 gns foal, Sergei Prokofiev filly. Dam 7f-8.6f winner out of useful winner up to 1m (2-y-o 5f-6.5f winner) Penny's Gift. Relatively cheap purchase who is unlikely to trouble the judge first time up.
Rajiba
Improved on her debut effort when runner-up in a Wolverhampton maiden (8.5f) earlier this month. She was well positioned on that occasion, but the pair she split have since franked the form.
Stormy Music
From excellent sprinting family that connections know well. Showed definite ability on debut before likely in need of return at Newbury (7f), and she strikes as the type that should have a bigger performance in her.
Veil Of Clouds
Out of a smart performer who was best at 7f/1m. Promising effort when runner-up at Southwell (6f) on second start, and there's better expected over this longer trip.
