Timeform View

GIANT HAYSTACKS hasn’t shaped badly in this sphere on his last two starts and, with the handicapper having relented, he is taken to open his account over fences in what looks an ordinary event. Tingarran Express is bred to make at least as good a chaser as she was a hurdler and will be thereabouts if taking to this discipline, while both King’s Son and Sampoet are respected on their latest efforts.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Giant Haystacks traded at a low of 4.00 and Betfair SP of 4.60 when losing last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field.

Timeform Comments

A Snow White Park (IRE)
In frame both starts over fences, chasing home Journey So Far in maiden at Tramore in May. Switches back to a handicap now, though, and will need to find more if she's to play a hand in the finish
Tingarran Express (IRE)
A 3-time winner who stepped up on previous effort when 6 lengths second of 16 to Timurshah in 16-runner event at Clonmel last month. Winner that day has won again since and has claims if taking to chasing at the first attempt, as she is bred to do.
Ingenious Stroke (IRE)
Left hurdling form behind when making a winning chasing debut at Downpatrick in September 2022 for Henry De Bromhead. Makes handicap debut for new connections on return from near 4-year absence.
Temptationinmilan (IRE)
One-time fairly useful chaser who has lost way, going with no encouragement on either start this season.
Giant Haystacks (IRE)
Fair winning hurdler has got his act together over fences of late, finishing in the frame in maidens on his last 2 starts despite not being suited by quick turnaround on latest. Has been given a chance by the handicapper and everything points to him making a bold bid.
Le Malin (FR)
Finally got his act together for current connections when winning 13-runner handicap at Down Royal in December 2024. Returns off same mark but has 18-month absence to defy.
Sampoet (IRE)
Point winner/fair maiden chaser who wasn't disgraced back in this sphere at Downpatrick (3m) 20 days ago. Change of headgear and place claims back down in trip.
King's Son (FR)
Matched the pick of his hurdling form when 8¾ lengths third of 14 to Finnians Row in handicap at Downpatrick on chasing debut 20 days ago. Claims if building on that.
Sledgehammer (IRE)
Point winner but has offered little encouragement in 4 hunter chases. Makes handicap chase debut.
My Good Pal (IRE)
Modest winner over hurdles produced his best effort to date over fences with cheekpieces added when second of 11 in handicap at Downpatrick (3m, good, 5/1) in May. Unseated rider first next time, though, and a clear round will be needed to feature here.
Ixigreczed (FR)
Winning hurdler who didn't cut much ice in a handful of outings over fences and arrives with little recent form in either sphere.
Hey Sir (IRE)
Has shown nothing in 3 starts in hunter chases. Makes handicap chase debut with tongue strap applied.
Deadheat (FR)
Winning hurdler/fairly useful chaser but has lost his way and has plenty to prove now returning from 11-month absence.
Sunwalk
Maiden over hurdles with a patchy profile and has plenty to find now chasing.
Fr Gilligansvoyge
Inconsistent veteran ended a losing run stretching back over 3 years in 12-runner handicap chase at Downpatrick (3m, good, 18/1) last month. 6 lb higher now and jumping remains a concern.
Party Pack (IRE)
More miss than hit since chasing home a fairly useful sort at this course last summer. Easily opposed.
Luimneach (IRE)
Hasn't scored since 2023 but was beaten only half a length into second at Down Royal (20.7f, heavy) in January and caught the eye when 13¼ lengths fifth of 11 to Warriors Wood at Kilbeggan on debut for new yard in May. On a good mark if building on that. RESERVE.
L'amiral Fromentin (FR)
Best effort to date when 3¾ lengths second of 14 to Chosen Shant in 2m handicap at this course last month. Claims on that form but stamina to prove back up in trip. RESERVE.
Driveonwill (IRE)
Proved a different proposition to previously when winning 14-runner restricted maiden chase at Downpatrick in May, beating Saunton Surf ½ length. Looked likely to go close when unseating 2 out in similar event there 22 days later. One for the shortlist if getting a run. RESERVE.
