Timeform View

ASK PETER finished a close second here last time, and she looks the most solid option in a thin handicap. Kittys Glance and Backer Bilk are relatively unexposed and need considering.

Timeform Comments

Kittys Glance
Low-mileage 5-y-o (has bled). Improved third on handicap debut at Worcester (2½m), and she's been found an even weaker race.
Backer Bilk
Modest 1¼m winner on the Flat. Ran his best race over hurdles when well-held third on qualifying run at Huntingdon in mid-May, and he's entitled to make more impact now handicapping.
Ask Peter (FR)
Fair winner up to 1¾m on Flat. Went close to opening her hurdles account here last time (17f). Unlikely to get such a soft lead this time, but she's uncomplicated and has a solid chance at the weights.
Adaay Dancing
Long-standing maiden. Better effort reverted to positive tactics when fourth at Huntingdon (2m) in May, but she needs more taking on the boys for the first time over hurdles.
Katzoff (IRE)
Long-standing maiden never looked like justifying favouritism on stable debut at Stratford (18.7f) on Tuesday. Turned out quickly in previously worn cheekpieces, and it's probably foolish to discount anything from the Dan Skelton yard at present.
Hawa Jumeirah
Modest middle-distance winner on Flat. Showed a bit when fifth on qualifying run at Fontwell. Too free in first-time tongue strap on handicap debut here latest, but the handicapper has given him a chance.
Saucats (FR)
Remains a maiden after 17 runs. Went close in 0-95 here in May, and he's in better form than his latest C&D fifth would suggest but operating from 3 lb out of the weights on this occasion.
