Timeform View

ROXELINA made an encouraging debut, the form of which has been well advertised since, and she can open her account back at a more realistic level here. Betty Boop showed plenty of ability first time up and promises to be in the mix, with Elpeeare an interesting debutante.

Timeform Comments

Betty Boop (IRE)
75,000 gns Mehmas filly. Produced a promising first effort when third of 6 in novice at Lingfield (5f) on debut 9 days ago, green early but finishing to excellent effect from the rear without being knocked about. Will improve on that and has leading claims.
Charcoal Diva
Well held in 2 outings but had shown some ability on debut. Will be better off in nurseries.
Delighfully Hot
Too Darn Hot filly. Was held back by inexperience when ninth of 10 in maiden at Nottingham (5f, good to soft) on debut in June. That was a deep race and market probably best guide second time up.
Dreams Galore (IRE)
Made her debut in the same Nottingham race as Delighfully Hot and, though still green, went backwards second time out at Chepstow 12 days later. Needs this run for a mark.
Elpeeare (IRE)
Foaled March 12. 95,000 gns yearling, Sioux Nation filly. Half-sister to useful 2-y-o 7f winner Sovereign Ocean. Dam 1m winner out of useful 6f/7f winner Girouette. Yard can ready one, so she's worth a market check on debut.
Enhancing
Ran green when behind in a Newbury maiden on debut but failed to even match that effort at Carlisle when fitted with a first-time tongue strap 3 weeks later. May be one for nurseries after this run.
Lola
17,000 gns foal, €42,000 yearling, Caturra filly. Showed a bit on debut when third of 10 in novice at Windsor (5f, good to firm, 14/1) in June, not knocked about. That race hasn't worked out but she should progress.
Roxelina
Failed to meet market expectations when third on debut at Windsor in June behind Glorious Game (subsequent listed winner) but showed plenty before flying too high in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot just 11 days later. Makes plenty of appeal back down in grade with first-time tongue strap fitted.
