Timeform View

Novice winners RANEEM and Starlight Lass set a good standard and both appeal as being open to plenty of improvement, with preference just for Roger Varian's filly, who did really well to overcome the run of the race despite greenness at Doncaster on debut.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Starlight Lass traded at a high of 1.37 and Betfair SP of 1.35 when winning last time, a race in which it led and travelled strongly early on.

Timeform Comments

Raneem
Frankel filly out of a half-sister to high-class 1m winner Tamayuz and she looked potentially useful when overcoming both inexperience and a positional bias to beat Dream Vega by a neck on debut in a 12-runner fillies novice at Doncaster (7f, good to firm). May well do better in a first-time hood.
Starlight Lass
Dubawi filly out of a half-sister to Logician. Shaped promisingly when second of 11 in 7f Yarmouth maiden (good to soft) on debut and made the most of a good opportunity when easily winning a 3-runner novice at Newmarket (1m, good to firm) 12 days ago. Ought to be plenty more to come.
Dream Vega (IRE)
Lope De Vega filly from a very good family and showed plenty to work on despite greenness when fourth of 7 in novice at Salisbury (7f, good) on debut. Didn't markedly improve when neck second to Raneem at Doncaster last time, failing to capitalise on a positional advantage over that rival.
Sakura Impact (IRE)
First foal. Dam Japanese 6f/7f winner (stayed 8.5f) out of smart winner up to 11f (2-y-o 1¼m winner) Charity Line.
