Timeform View

Charlie Appleby has won 2 of the last 3 renewals of this maiden, including with subsequent 1000 Guineas heroine Desert Flower 2 years ago and looks to hold prime claims with PEACEFUL CHARM. A €2,000,000 purchase, she makes plenty of appeal on paper and confidence behind her in the betting would only bolster her claims further. That said, Scommessa Sicura sets a good standard on what she's achieved to date and is feared, along with Ballydoyle filly Madam Secretary.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

The pace doesn’t look like being overly strong here and Scommessa Sicura should still be served best by being ridden prominently: Peaceful Charm might not benefit from being ridden as far back as usual for all the gallop is likely to be a reasonable one.

Timeform Comments

Blue Sign
Blue Point filly who showed a bit amid clear inexperience when fourth on debut in a Lingfield novice (5f) in May. Faced a stiff task and didn't have much of a race when well beaten in last month's Albany Stakes at the Royal Meeting and likely she can do better.
Carpe Portus
Kingman filly who makes appeal on paper and promises to improve on her fourth-place finish in a C&D novice on debut 3 weeks ago, unable to land a blow but not knocked about. In good hands and there's better to come but others appeal more for win purposes.
Chartwell Rose (FR)
Foaled May 19. €30,000 yearling, Churchill filly. Dam French 2-y-o 5f winner, runner-up in Prix Robert Papin. Yard 0-7 with their 2-y-o debutants so far this season.
Lady Miranda
Perfect Power filly who fetched €85,000 as a yearling but she looked a longer-term project when seventh of 9 in a C&D novice last month.
Madam Secretary (IRE)
Made plenty of appeal on paper and shaped encouragingly when third of 8 in maiden at Listowel on debut 6 weeks ago, keeping on without being knocked about. Step up to 7f promises to suit and she's interesting with above-average improvement anticipated.
Peaceful Charm (FR)
Foaled March 31. €2,000,000 yearling, Dubawi filly. Sister to smart French 10.4f-1½m winner Parachutiste and closely related to useful 1m winner Skydance. Makes obvious appeal for leading yard boasting a record of 4-9 with their 2-y-o newcomers so far this season.
Scommessa Sicura (IRE)
Cracksman filly who has found only one too good on each of her 3 starts, advancing her form when chasing home a promising Godolphin filly over C&D 3 weeks ago. Pulled well clear of the rest then and she sets a solid standard.
Sexy Chick
Havana Grey filly who wasn't quite so clued up as the winner but she offered plenty when beaten in tight finish in 3-runner 6f novice here on debut 2 weeks ago. Was closing all the way to the line and there's better to come now tackling 7f.
Tall Trees
Caught the eye when finishing race off nicely when fifth at Newbury (6.5f) on debut in June and she performed well in face of stiff task when eighth in last month's Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot, keeping on well having had to weave her way through. Remains open to improvement.
Tegernsee (IRE)
Foaled March 18. 180,000 gns 2-y-o, St Mark's Basilica filly. Half-sister to winner up to 6f Sensorium. Stable operating at a healthy strike rate with their 2-y-o debutants (6-20) and considered if supported in the betting.
