Timeform View

LUCIOLE DES BORDES refused to settle making her hurdling debut over 2¾m at Tramore in May, but dropped in trip she's well worth another chance for her leading yard. She is taken to get the better of hurdling newcomer Belladaball, who was a listed winner in bumpers, while Longhouse Legacy is interesting for her new yard.

Timeform Comments

Belladaball (IRE)
Progressed with each of her first 3 starts in bumpers, opening account in listed mares race at Fairyhouse in April. Didn't give her running at the Punchestown Festival, but she's still an interesting recruit to hurdling.
Lumiere Du Large (FR)
Flat winner in France who failed to progress over hurdles for Willie Mullins. Showed more on stable debut when runner-up in 2¼m maiden at Sligo in May, but hasn't kicked on in 2 subsequent outings. Regular hood now goes back on.
Pepper Noir (IRE)
Is still a fair performer on the all-weather nowadays. However, she hasn't taken to hurdling in 3 starts (trained by Gavin Cromwell on first 2 back in 2024/25), unseating rider at the second in maiden at Bellewstown 6 days ago.
Brave Lady (IRE)
Has shown improved form in bumpers with runner-up efforts the last twice, beaten only by the odds-on favourite at Punchestown last month. Could go well as she starts off over hurdles.
Cailin Hill (IRE)
Kingston Hill mare. Dam, maiden, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 2¾m) Perfect Woman and useful hurdler (stayed 3¼m) Perfect Man. Bred to need further in time.
Inver Bay (IRE)
Offered little in a trio of bumpers and a maiden hurdle for Gerard Keane last season and it was a similar story in 3 Flat starts. Showed a bit more on stable debut when fifth of 22 in maiden hurdle at Punchestown last month, but still has plenty to find here.
Ivana D'alco (FR)
€52,000 3-y-o, Ivanhowe mare. Dam, French hurdler/chaser (17f-2¼m winner), half-sister to French hurdler/chaser chaser (17f-2¾m winner) Vicbilh. Point winner in January at the third attempt, so she's one to consider as she makes hurdling debut with hood fitted.
Longhouse Legacy (IRE)
Fair form in a trio of bumpers but well held on completed start in novice hurdles back in 2024. Absent 19 months, but she's one to note as she has first run for yard after leaving B. F. Brookhouse.
Luciole Des Bordes (FR)
Chased home subsequent Grade 2 winner on penultimate bumper start. In first-time hood, raced too freely when fifth of 10 in maiden at Tramore (2¾m) on hurdling debut 6 weeks ago, but she remains capable of better dropped in trip. Likely contender.
Messonghi (IRE)
Kingston Hill mare. Dam, fair 2m hurdle winner (stayed 2½m), also 1¾m winner on Flat, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler (stays 3¼m) Doitforjane Sid. May just be better for this first experience.
Phyllis Rodda (IRE)
Berkshire mare. Half-sister to smart hurdler/chaser Salvador Ziggy (2½m-3m winner). Dam unraced. Pulled up both starts in points in October 2025, but she's worth a market check as she goes over hurdles.
Santa Paula (IRE)
Little promise in 2 bumpers back in summer 2024. After nearly 2 years off, shaped as if needing the run sent hurdling when eleventh of 18 in maiden at Punchestown (2¾m) on hurdles bow last month. Still looks to face a tough ask.
My Elusive Mate (IRE)
Made a discouraging start, tailed-off fifth of 10 in juvenile maiden hurdle at Ballinrobe in May. Needs to leave that effort well behind.
Thedreamistilalive (IRE)
Old Persian filly. Dam unraced half-sister to fairly useful 2m hurdle winner/useful chaser (stayed 3m) Stellar Notion and fairly useful chase winner (stayed 19f) Forged In Fire. Wears tongue strap for debut.
Fastnet Crystal (IRE)
Showed plenty when ½-length second of 16 in bumper at Thurles in December. However, had breathing problem when tailed off at Punchestown next time. Off 6 months ahead of hurdles bow. Tongue strap fitted. RESERVE.
Noble Rocco (IRE)
Daughter of Shirocco who offered little first time up when well-beaten seventh of 11 in bumper at Ballinrobe in May. Makes hurdling debut. RESERVE.
Jolly D'olivate (FR)
Coastal Path mare. Half-sister to French hurdler/chase winner Energy d'Olivate (17f/2¼m winner). Dam 1m-11.5f winner in France. Point winner but failed to complete last 3 starts (pulled up on latest in April). RESERVE.
