This isn't a deep race with several looking opposable, so it's best to concentrate on the consistent CONQUER THE BREEZE and British debutant Ras Kassar in that order.

Timeform Comments

Ras Kassar (FR)
Won 4 of his last 5 starts, 2 of them over fences, with the latest in claiming hurdle at Sable-Sur-Sarthe (2¼m, good) in May on final outing for J. Boisnard. He looks well handicapped on the pick of his French hurdles form and this yard has done well with imports from there this summer.
Conquer The Breeze (IRE)
Has been much improved since joining current yard winning 3 of his 4 chase starts, all at Hexham, the latest in 7-runner handicap (2m, good) 3 weeks ago in a higher grade. An 8 lb rise may not be enough to stop him dropping back in class.
Hypotenus
Taunton winner for Joe Tickle in January but hasn't fully fired since, albeit slightly better signs for new yard when 7 lengths third to Newtown Rambler over C&D (good to soft) in May. Isn't convincing with his finishing effort these days and remains opposable for win purposes.
Tree Top Tyson (IRE)
Won 3-runner maiden hurdle at Sedgefield in October. Made an unpromising start over fences when pulled up at Huntingdon in January when last seen. Appeals as best watched unless market speaks in his favour.
Garde Des Champs (IRE)
Has largely struggled since winning this race last year off a 5 lb higher mark, once again not looking the easiest of rides when third at this course earlier in the month. Needs to show more returning to 2m.
Kinbara Firstdraft (IRE)
Has been operating below form both over hurdles and fences for the best part of a year now. Shaped a bit better than he had on stable debut last time after overdoing the positive tactics here. Looks set for minor role at best.
