Timeform View

SOUTH SHORE has quickly got back to near his best for current yard, well on top at the finish when scoring at Wolverhampton 9 days ago, and he can go on to land the hat-trick under a penalty. Invincible Crown took advantage of his reduced mark last time and is feared most, with Lucius Aurelius also interesting back here.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

South Shore traded at a high of 2.84 and Betfair SP of 2.72 when winning last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

South Shore
Revitalised for new yard, making a winning stable debut at Windsor at the end of June and following up with a decisive success at Wolverhampton 7 days later. Penalty might not be enough to stop him in his current form.
Our Absent Friends (IRE)
In good form at Newcastle during the all-weather campaign and matched that level on turf when third of 5 over this C&D last month. However, has finished down the field at Ayr the last twice, the latest 2 days ago.
Invincible Crown (IRE)
Has worked his way back to form this season, getting up to lead final strides in 10-runner handicap at Musselburgh 15 days ago. Needs things to drop right given his usual running style, but he remains well treated on old form.
Albegone
Losing run is mounting up but this 4-time C&D winner arrives in decent heart, helping to force the pace back in blinkers when second of 5 here 23 days ago. Mark has eased and he can give another good account.
Edmond Halley (IRE)
Showed fair form in maidens in Ireland last year but has struggled in handicaps, seventh of 16 at Navan when last seen in April. He's worth a market check, though, as he makes first run for yard after leaving Kieran Patrick Cotter.
Lucius Aurelius
Returned to his best when finally getting off the mark over this C&D in April. Has twice run poorly at Pontefract since but was third here in between so he could bounce back at this venue, refitted in cheekpieces after tried in blinkers last time.
Irish Dancer (IRE)
Successful here in May (won the same race in 2025) and soon bounced back from a below-par run when narrowly denied at Thirsk last month. Not discredited when third of 5 at Nottingham 20 days ago, though was 2¼ lengths behind Invincible Crown in second.
Zuffolo (IRE)
Stepped forward from this season's return when second of 9 at Redcar in April. Excuses next time but reverted to racing freely when well held at Musselburgh 23 days ago. Blinkers now back on replacing the visor.
Gwen Tennyson (IRE)
Showed more than previously when third of 6 in a C&D novice in May. However, she hasn't been able to kick on in 2 handicaps since, 4¼ lengths sixth of 10 to Invincible Crown at Musselburgh 15 days ago.
