DOON THE GLEN can supplement his C&D success last month with Rain Cap taken to complete the forecast in a thin race.

Timeform Comments

Rain Cap
C&D winner who was placed twice at Wolverhampton in the spring. Stepped up on recent run when beaten less than 2 lengths in fourth behind Classy Clarets (entered in the 2.15 on this card) at Catterick 24 days ago. Should prove competitive again.
Doon The Glen
Gained a first handicap success over C&D last month with the visor refitted. Ran well since in 2 starts over 5f round here but went off too hard under a 7-lb claimer when down the field at Ayr 3 days ago. No surprise if bouncing back.
Tarlac (IRE)
Has tumbled in the weights since his sole success at Ripon last season and ran one of this season's better races when fourth over C&D 3 weeks ago. Doesn't particularly strike as one ready to capitalise on his reduced mark.
Lady Bouquet
Successful at Wolverhampton in December and has now made the frame on 3 of last 4 starts. A course winner who is entitled to be thereabouts again.
Baby Rover (IRE)
Has generally been more miss than hit this season but returned to form when second at Carlisle last month. Wasn't in the same form at Ayr just last week.
A Lady Forever
Best effort this season when second over 5f at Newcastle at the beginning of June. Returns to 6f with the headgear discarded. May find a few too good.
Bring Her Home (IRE)
Drops back to sprinting with first-time cheekpieces applied but makes little appeal on what we already know of her.
