Timeform View

SALE SHARK shaped well when first home on his side in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot and is preferred to Nabati, who has the potential for considerable improvement on the back of his Yarmouth debut success. Arapaho Gold has created a good impression when winning both starts and is next on the list ahead of recent Norfolk fourth Social Symbol.

Timeform Comments

A Bear Affair (IRE)
Kodi Bear colt who won the Brocklesby at Doncaster on the opening day of the turf season. Best effort when ½-length second of 8 to Bint Archange in listed race at Sandown (5f, good) 14 days ago. Should be thereabouts but possibly vulnerable to improvers.
Agamemnon
Ready winner of 5f Wolverhampton novice in May. Respectable 5½ lengths eighth (Social Symbol fourth, Mr Macartney seventh) of 21 to Orthodox in Norfolk at Royal Ascot (5f, good to firm) since, keeping on late as if this step up to 6f may help.
Arapaho Gold (IRE)
Impressive winner of 5f maiden (good) and 6f novice (good to firm) at Thirsk 2 months apart. Looks more than capable of making his presence felt in a higher grade.
God Given Talent (IRE)
No Nay Never colt who overcame inexperience to make a winning start to his career over C&D (good) in May. Possibly not at ease on much firmer ground (hung) when down the field in the Coventry at Royal Ascot since.
Kamaal (IRE)
Fifth to God Given Talent on C&D debut but finished in front of that reopposing rival when good 4 lengths tenth of 21 to Great Barrier Reef in Coventry at Royal Ascot a month later.
Mr Macartney
Leicester maiden winner (5f, good to firm) in April but his limitations have been exposed in better company since.
Nabati (IRE)
850,000 gns Night of Thunder colt who had plenty in hand when landing short odds on 6f Yarmouth debut (firm) 15 days ago. Has the potential for significant improvement for top yard whose juveniles are going great guns.
Ronson
Ubettabelieveit colt who was much improved from debut when winning a 6-runner Beverley novice in May. Better form in defeat since, although A Bear Affair was 1½ lengths ahead of him in a Sandown listed event last time. Tackles 6f for the first time.
Sale Shark (IRE)
Bayside Boy colt who quickened up well to make a winning debut at Hamilton (5f, firm) in May and shaped well (first home on the far side) when fifth of 25 in Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot (6f, good to firm) last month. Capable of better again and leading claims.
Severn Councils (IRE)
Foaled February 3. €120,000 Sioux Nation colt. Dam unraced half-sister to useful 5f winner (stayed 6f) Online Alexander. Interesting that connections are prepared to pitch him it at this level on debut but he'll need to be smart to get heavily involved.
Social Symbol (USA)
Knew what was required to make a winning start at Ripon (5f, good to firm) and acquitted himself very well when fourth of 21 in the Norfolk at Royal Ascot (5f, good to firm again) 17 days later. Shapes as if 6f will suit. Respected.
Underdog
This Perfect Power colt made a winning debut at Sandown (5f, good to soft) last month. The Norfolk at Royal Ascot proved too much just a week later but he got back on the up with a promising fifth in 5f Sandown listed race a fortnight ago. Has the potential for better again.
