Timeform View

SIR BENEDICT regularly finds trouble in running but has been shaping well for his present yard and returns to a C&D where he's won before, which gives him more appealing claims than most in what looks a very weak affair. Desert Master has a more straightforward style and looks his biggest danger, while Washington Heir comes here in form at this level.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Desert Master traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP twice and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 3 of its last 5 starts: Baileys Ontherocks has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Antiphon (IRE)
25 runs without a win and, though his placed form from last autumn would give him chances in this lowly contest, his 2 efforts this year have been devoid of promise so he's got plenty to prove with cheekpieces reapplied.
Captain Kinsella
Yet to win on turf and was struggling in this grade on all-weather when last seen, including when tried in first-time tongue strap last time. Should show typical early speed but hard to think he'll last out on return from 123 days off.
Desert Master
Winless in 27 starts, though went close when second of 16 in a higher grade at Doncaster in June, the form of which gives him leading claims in this grade. Latest seventh of 18 at Thirsk wasn't so encouraging but wasn't ideally placed that day and could bounce back.
Jackie Brown (IRE)
Returned to form when third of 6 in a handicap at Ffos Las 18 days ago on second outing since joining this yard from Ireland. Tongue strap now reapplied and has a positive jockey booking so could play a part back down at 5f.
Rinky Tinky Tinky
Sole win to date came over 6f at this track on reappearance in 2025. Not pulled up any trees on either start this year, but now dips into classified company for the first time and could figure if coping with the minimum trip.
Sir Benedict (IRE)
Frustrating customer who has met trouble in running on numerous occasions since joining this yard but evidently retains the ability to still be winning at this level. Has a C&D win to his name and looks a serious threat in this company if getting the breaks.
Washington Heir
Found his level in this grade the last twice, winning at Brighton in June and then third of 11 at same course 17 days ago. Comes here with less questions to answer than most of these and holds solid place claims.
Baileys Ontherocks
Largely struggled since joining this yard and beaten a fair way when third of 7 in this grade at Wolverhampton last time so that doesn't look the start of a revival.
Ganthorpe
Off the mark at Carlisle 49 days ago in a race that set up well for him but has turned in poor efforts since. Had less racing than most of these so not one to write off down in class if able to cope with the drop back to 5f.
