SILCA BAY is still relatively unexposed on turf and shaped as if still at the top of his game when a luckless fourth at Sandown earlier in the month. He makes most appeal ahead of Mythical Guest, who went with plenty of encouragement from the front at Ascot last week, with Astrazar completing the 1-2-3.

Notched third win at Newcastle in September and ran creditably enough when fifth there on his first outing this year. Down the field all 3 starts since, though, so not the easiest to make a case for after 106 days off.
Mythical Guest (IRE)
Is on a long losing run but was placed 7 times in 2025 and he gave best only late on when third of 8 in handicap at Ascot (1m, firm) 8 days ago. Might not face much competition for the lead here and isn't discounted from just 1 lb above his last winning mark.
Elan D'or
Ended 2025 with a pair of all-weather handicap wins at up to 1m. Shaped as if retaining all of his ability when fifth on return on the Rowley Mile in May, though went backwards from that when only eleventh of 13 in handicap at this C&D (good to firm) last month.
Lady Mariko
Proved better than ever when scoring at Kempton (6f) in April following 5 months off. Shaped as if still in good form having raced in the disadvantaged group in the Kensington Palace at Royal Ascot last month and she's not discounted back down in grade.
Silca Bay
Won 3 times at Kempton in the second half of 2025 and got his head back in front in a 1m Goodwood handicap last month, overcoming traffic problems. Unlucky not to finish closer in the face of another troubled passage when fourth of 10 at Sandown (1m) 2 weeks ago and he's a leading player again.
Dovey Moon
Off the mark for the season in 1m Salisbury handicap in May. Found things tougher in typically competitive York race next time before returning to form when third at Pontefract 19 days ago. Needs a bit more from this mark.
Astrazar (IRE)
Failed to win over 5f/6f on his first 5 starts but 2-2 when stepped up to 7f last autumn, including a valuable conditions race at York. Back on track when a never-threatening fourth of 8 in handicap at Chester (7f, good to firm) 21 days ago and he's not ruled out taking on his elders for first time.
