MR MCWHINNY is well worth a second chance to show he's on a good mark for new trainer Tom Ellis. Huit Reflets is nicely handicapped back chasing and may provide the chief threat ahead of Most Wanted, who has taken well to fences but his stamina will be on its limit racing beyond a bare 2m.

Timeform Comments

Catchim (IRE)
C&D winner in April. Creditable second at Southwell (2m, good) last month but well-held fourth at Stratford (19.5f) since. Remains 4 lb above the mark he won off here.
Dream Jet (IRE)
Landed this race 2 years ago. Has added 3 Hexham wins since but his recent efforts have been disappointing.
Sledgehammer (IRE)
Point winner. Offered little in hunters on his first 4 starts under Rules but offered a bit of encouragement when fourth of 13 in 19.5f Wexford handicap (good) 15 days ago. Needs to build on that now.
Most Wanted (IRE)
Suited by emphasis on speed when making a successful chase debut in 4-runner handicap at Fakenham (2m, good to firm) in May. Creditable third of 10 at Uttoxeter (2m, good to soft) since. Stamina not assured over this slightly longer trip and he may face competition for the lead.
Prospect House (IRE)
C&D winner who landed a third chase success when edging ahead late on at Catterick (2m, good) in December. May have needed 2 comeback runs in recent months (13 lengths third here latest).
Huit Reflets (FR)
A dual chase winner last season. Shaped okay over hurdles last time and has been given a chance by the handicapper in this sphere. Capable of going well.
Mr Mcwhinny (IRE)
Maiden hurdler/chaser in Ireland for Paul Glligan but won a point in May and shaped much better than a remote fourth suggests in 3m Uttoxeter handicap for new yard last month, paying for pressing the leader in a well-run race. Looks quick enough to cope with this much shorter trip. Gets the vote.
Fox Wallace (IRE)
Opened account when making all at Stratford (17f) in May last year but has completely lost her form of late.
