Timeform View

A chance is taken on CHIEF BLACK ROBE, who has twice won over C&D off higher marks and may well be sparked into a revival by the reapplication of headgear. It's A Breeze opened his account over fences here just 6 days ago and looks the main danger for all the quick turnaround is a concern, whilst The Gypsy Davey was second in that race off this mark.

Timeform Comments

It's A Breeze (IRE)
Maiden hurdler who has taken time to find his feet over fences but was impressive in opening his account in a 4-runner over C&D last time, beating The Gypsy Davey by 4½ lengths. Turned out quickly under a penalty and likely to be involved if handling the quick turnaround.
The Gypsy Davey (IRE)
Took a step back in the right direction when chasing home It's A Breeze over C&D 6 days ago. Meets that rival on significantly better terms but far from certain to back that performance up.
Chief Black Robe (IRE)
On a lengthy losing run but has hinted at a revival on a couple of occasions for current yard and was notably well backed when third at Stratford in April. Poor effort last time but has been given a chance by the handicapper and has twice won over C&D. Cheekpieces back on.
Chillhi (IRE)
Was a dual winner over hurdles for James Owen last season but has shown very little since and, with both his temperament and jumping often called into question in that sphere, the notion that he'll make an immediate impact on chasing debut requires a big leap of faith.
Flashy Boy (IRE)
Has won again in points since being ridden too aggressively at Market Rasen on chasing debut in January, though he's also been beaten 3 times in that sphere as well, so isn't the easiest to weigh up now back under Rules.
Watchoutitscookie (IRE)
Hasn't won since landing a handicap chase at Newcastle in December 2024 and, though he was placed 5 times last season, he has failed to see his race out in handicap hurdles on both outings this term.
Senor Diaz (IRE)
Achieved more than previously for current connections when 13¼ lengths third of 5 to Thickthorn Tomover C&D in May, but that's not saying a great deal. Races from 2 lb out of the handicap.
Emberscombe (IRE)
Little worthwhile form outside of points and races from 2 lb out of the handicap.
