Timeform View

Already at the head of the market for next year's 1000 Guineas, exciting prospect ALPHA is fancied to follow up her impressive success at the Curragh. Green Empress can improve again tackling a longer trip and may prove comfortably best of rest.

Timeform Comments

Alpha (IRE)
Sea The Stars filly, out of Irish 1000 Guineas winner Alpha Centauri. Promising second in a hot race at this course on debut before impressively going one better at the Curragh (7f) last time. Looks a potentially top-table juvenile filly and can follow up on first start in pattern company.
Alpine Wedding (IRE)
NON RUNNER
Blonde Over Blue
400,000 gns Lope De Vega filly. Looked potentially useful when beating a less-than-ideally placed Alpha by ¾ length to make a successful debut over C&D (soft). Probably up against it to confirm that form, though, with Dylan Brown McMonagle preferring Green Empress.
Cedrela (FR)
Foaled February 20. €41,000 yearling, Wooded filly. Half-sister to French winner up to 7.4f Viva La Skids. Dam lightly raced. Newcomer faces a stiff task against useful opposition with experience.
Dancing Destiny (IRE)
Added to her Roscommon debut success at the third attempt when finding plenty in a Naas listed race (1m) 19 days ago. Will find life tougher now contesting a strong Group 3, especially with the drop back in trip looking against her.
Green Empress (IRE)
Confirmed her debut promise when a closing ¾-length second in Group 2 Airlie Stud at the Curragh (6f) last time, finishing much closer to subsequent Albany runner-up Sun Goddess than previously. Looks sure to progress again on first start over 7f and stands out as the main danger to Alpha.
Nevermindtherain (IRE)
Made the running when much-improved third behind a couple of above-average fillies in C&D maiden last time. That's still some way below the form required here, though, and she looks likely to be a pacemaker for her stablemate. First-time cheekpieces added.
Tosca No Candis (IRE)
Showed a bit more than on debut when 3½ lengths fifth behind Dancing Destiny in a Naas listed event, though she still has plenty to find in this company.
