Timeform View

A weak maiden, even for the time of year, with RED SEA GIRL selected to go a couple of places better than on return in a Roscommon bumper having seemingly been crying out for this sort of trip. Willie Mullins' Are You Around found one too strong on hurdling debut and she heads up the dangers returning from a 9-month absence. Lilannbee and Lunar Majesty can fight out third.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Are You Around traded at a low of 1.52 and Betfair SP of 3.20 when losing last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

Bold Reflection (IRE)
Bumper winner in December 2022 but off almost 3 years prior to shaping as if amiss on Hexham hurdling debut and hasn't fared any better on both subsequent starts. Low-grade handicaps likely more suitable.
Lilannbee
Aided by the longer trip/run of the race when off the mark at the fourth time of asking in 13-runner event at Punchestown (18.4f, good to soft) in December. Has had her limitations exposed outside of maiden company twice since but interesting with attentions turned to hurdling.
Are You Around (IRE)
Did more to show she's a stable lesser light after an undistinguished 2-race spell in bumpers when second of 9 in maiden at Sligo (2½m, good to soft) on hurdling debut 9 months ago, worn down by a novice 3 years her senior. That effort sets the standard.
Cailin Hill (IRE)
Kingston Hill mare who is bred to stay well but didn't show anything regardless when tailed off in maiden hurdle at Kilbeggan (2m, good) on debut just under a fortnight ago. Quickly upped in trip.
Jolly D'olivate (FR)
Is a winning pointer with a patchy overall record between the flags and showed little when tailed off in maiden hurdle at Downpatrick (2¼m, good) last week.
Louve D'arc (FR)
Shaped well albeit endured a hard race first time up in 4-y-o fillies' bumper at Galway last October. Well held in good contest at Navan following month and better than result when eighth of 13 at Down Royal (17f, good to soft) 4 months ago. Makes hurdling debut.
Lunar Majesty (IRE)
Matched previous form when fifth of 12 in maiden hurdle at Downpatrick (2¾m, good to firm) just under 6 weeks ago. Place claims in what looks a weak contest.
Miss Jocund (IRE)
Modest form in bumpers and Roscommon maiden hurdle last year. Tailed off on Killarney return but back on the up in first-time cheekpieces when fifth of 10 in maiden at Downpatrick (19f, good to firm) just under 6 weeks ago, finding drop in trip against her. Return to 2½m a plus.
Red Sea Girl (IRE)
Placed all 3 starts since her debut, including on return in a Roscommon bumper earlier this month. Back over hurdles and having been seemingly crying out for this sort of trip, she's a strong contender.
Thesilverbridle (IRE)
Westerner mare. Half-sister to useful hurdler/smart chaser Senecia, stays easy 3m. Dam (c101/h86), 21f-3m hurdle/chase winner, half-sister to (stayed 19f) Fionn Mac Cul and (stayed 21f) Dark Episode (both fairly useful hurdlers). Market check advised.
Urra Mass Rock (IRE)
Shirocco mare who offered little starting out when tenth of 12 in maiden hurdle at Downpatrick (2¾m, good to firm) just under 6 weeks ago.
Burning Like Fire (IRE)
€20,000 4-y-o, Westerner filly. Dam (h100), 2m hurdle winner (stayed 21f), sister to bumper winner who became ungenuine (stayed 25f) Oakley Hall. Third on sole start in points (Mar 2026).
Gratitudeforgrace (FR)
Goliath Du Berlais filly who looked one for the longer term when twelfth of 16 in bumper at Roscommon (2m, good) on debut earlier in the month. Quickly sent hurdling.
My Girl Rosie (IRE)
Showed a bit just as she had on the second of 2 outings in bumpers when fifth of 11 in maiden at Downpatrick (2¼m, good) on hurdles bow 9 days ago.
Queenofqueenstreet (IRE)
Sholokhov filly who offered little when fifteenth of 16 in bumper at Cork (17f, good) on debut 12 months ago. Has since switched yards ahead of this hurdling debut. RESERVE.
Tubberfinn Lassie (IRE)
Mustameet mare. Dam, pulled up both starts in points, closely related to fair hurdler/useful chaser (stayed 2½m) Oscar Gogo. Pulled up both starts in points in October 2025. Wears tongue strap.
Runaway Rosie (IRE)
Getaway filly who was sent off at 4/7 and surely ran too badly to be true when tailed-off fifteenth of 17 in bumper at Galway (17f, soft) on debut 10 months ago. Makes hurdling debut/return and interesting to see what the market makes of her.
