BALTRAY again shaped a bit better than the result at Warwick last month and this could be the time to catch him following a 7-week break. Plenty of credible dangers but Torrent is feared most stepping up in trip, while Orange Diamond is expected to go well again over C&D.

Low-mileage 6-y-o. Notched a second victory in 3 starts when dictating to land a 2½m Worcester handicap last month. That wasn't the strongest race for the grade and now steps up in trip on the back of a lesser effort here since.
Billy Boi Blue
Seemed best fresh when recording a couple of fairly useful 3m handicap wins in 2024/25. Form has taken a nosedive since, a breathing operation doing nothing to remedy his weak-finishing ways over 2½m at Worcester last time.
Torrent
Landed first of 2 juvenile victories at this course in 2024. Chased home a couple of next-time-out winners in better race here (2½m) before shaping as if well worth a crack at this trip when 8½ lengths fifth at Bangor (2½m) in late May. Has been freshened up and is fancied to go well.
Prince De Juilley (FR)
In a consistent streak of form at the end of last year. Went backwards from a reasonably promising reappearance at Stratford latest. He's better than that, though has worn headgear for his 3 career wins (now removed).
Orange Diamond (FR)
Has proved a revelation since joining current connections, recording 5 wins (including over fences) and 3 placed efforts from 10 starts. His latest narrow success over C&D was just about a career best and the form has been well advertised by the runner-up.
Colegram (FR)
Won a couple of Irish points in the spring. Opened her account under Rules with a minimum of fuss in a weak Bangor maiden (2½m) second time up. Further step up in distance can only benefit now making quick switch to handicaps. Unexposed for top yard but opening mark demands more.
Seeitoldya
Relatively lightly-raced 5-y-o who was successful sole start in points. Standout effort when fourth on handicap hurdle bow at Cork last summer. Tongue strap goes on having made little impact in 3 starts for current yard, and should at least benefit from step back up in trip on return to hurdling.
Baltray (IRE)
Travelled well when second to a now borderline useful sort at Stratford last October. Still looked to be in good form before undone by a late error (when in contention for a place) at Warwick on latest start. Subsequent 7-week break a positive given he seems best fresh and a big run looks likely.
Dr Seb (FR)
Completed a C&D double in 2024 renewal of this race for Olly Murphy. Now 3 lb lower and showed a bit on return/stable debut over C&D earlier this month. No banker to build on that given his profile, though.
Rock Hurley (FR)
Dictated to land a second success at Bangor (23f) last time, despite typically jumping less than fluently. Now 4 lb higher in a deeper race and may not get such an easy time in front.
Mistral Blue
Capped an upswing in form with a third career success in mares company over C&D last time. Tough ask taking on the boys off 5 lb higher in a better race.
Lady Caro (IRE)
Consistent mare who doubled her tally at Taunton (3m) in March. Travelled well without looking the easiest ride when 2½ lengths third over same C&D the following month. Ran well on seasonal reappearance last year and should do so again.
Catuaba (IRE)
In good form in summer/autumn 2024, winning at Stratford and runner-up on 3 other occasions. Has won fresh, though returns from a significantly longer absence (21 months) on this occasion.
Victoria Milano (IRE)
Dual 2m/2m5f hurdles winner in 2023/24 for Alastair Ralph. Best recent effort when chasing home an unexposed sort at Bangor in May but easy to back when well held at Cartmel subsequently. Cheekpieces on first time since joining current yard (has responded well previously).
Bannister (FR)
Market Rasen regular isn't the easiest to win with. Finished runner-up in a solid Class 5 handicap there in September and probably needed his reappearance earlier this month (tongue strap now discarded). Makes some appeal off a career-low mark, though does have stamina to prove up in trip.
Belladinotte (IRE)
Consistent for one at this level. Better than ever when overcoming a pace bias to resume winning ways in mares C&D handicap 9 days ago. Probably vulnerable back in open company under a 7-lb penalty, though.
