Timeform View

TOULEEN did well to get up for second in the Group 1 Coronation over C&D at the Royal meeting and should take a bit of stopping with Buick doing the steering this time. Kon Tiki is another who arrives on the back of a good run over C&D and looks the obvious danger.

Timeform Comments

Arisaig
Hold-up mare who was left with too much to do when a below-par third in 1m Pontefract listed event last time. Each-way claims if at her best.
Cheshire Dancer (IRE)
Won this 12 months ago but hasn't scaled the same heights in her 4 starts this year.
Kon Tiki
Low-mileage filly who has posted good efforts on both starts this year, latterly 4¾ lengths fourth of 15 to Falmouth winner Blue Bolt in Duke of Cambridge over C&D (good to firm) 38 days ago. Looks the chief threat to Touleen.
Pina Sonata
Lightly-raced 4-y-o who resumed with a career-best win in listed event at Kempton in March. Something can't have been right when a remote last of 7 in Epsom Group 3 since.
Sukanya
Found the best turn of foot when seeing off Touleen in the Fred Darling at Newbury in the spring but trailed home last in the Irish 1000 Guineas next time and Touleen was ahead of her when sixth of 9 in the Coronation over C&D since.
Esna (IRE)
Shrugged off an underwhelming reappearance to win a 1¼m listed event at Newbury (good) in May. Went off too hard in the Group 1 Prix de Diane over an extended 1¼m at Chantilly since. Now drops back in trip.
Skydance
Showed useful form when highly tried at 2 and edged out subsequent Oaks winner Thundering On in maiden company at Leopardstown (1m, soft) on her return in April. Off since.
Touleen
Highly-talented filly who shaped well when 1½ lengths second of 9 to Precise in Group 1 Coronation Stakes over C&D (good to firm) 36 days ago, running on after meeting trouble. Will be hard to beat if in similar form now dropping back to a Group 3 taking on her elders for the first time.
