PURPLE OWL arrives in good form and will benefit for the step back up in trip, so he's taken to beat Iamyouare, who remains of interest based on her win at this trip at Hereford in the spring. Crafty Gael is hard to assess but he's very well handicapped and market support would be most notable having joined Olly Murphy.

Timeform Comments

Iamyouare (IRE)
Benefited no end from the step back up in trip when bolting up in 8-runner handicap at Hereford (2½m, good) in April. Step down to 17f against her at Cartmel but got no further than the first at Worcester last time. Can figure back over this distance if none the worse.
Purple Owl (IRE)
Back on his game when second of 8 over 2m in a maiden at Worcester last month and supplemented that with another respectable fourth in a similar race over that same C&D just under 4 weeks ago. Step back up in trip will suit returned to a handicap and he's one to consider in first-time cheekpieces.
Royal Rocket (IRE)
Left hurdling debut form behind when third of 7 in 19f novice at Taunton (good) in April. Unlucky to bump into one at Warwick next time but clearly failed to see out 23f at Market Rasen last month. Makes handicap debut.
Jafimgoso
Bumper winner who took advantage of a reduced mark when scoring over shorter trip at Ludlow in May. Good in-frame efforts both outings since, though seemingly had no excuses from this mark when fourth of 8 at Newton Abbot (3¼m, good) 33 days ago. Back down markedly in trip with cheekpieces tried.
Pure Logic
Maiden who was below form when sixth of 8 in handicap hurdle at Stratford (19f, good to firm) 14 days ago. Yard quiet and others are preferred.
Beny Nahar Road (IRE)
Good chase record last spring/summer, including 2 wins. Took a heavy fall at Uttoxeter in September, however, and has finished well held in a couple of hurdle starts since. Is at least potentially well treated if able to bounce back.
Crafty Gael (IRE)
Plenty of creditable placed form in handicaps in 2023 for Ross O'Sullivan, though hasn't shown much in 3 starts this year following a significant absence. Tongue tie fitted by new stable and on a very lenient mark if finding anything like his old spark.
Luminaries (IRE)
Had a cracking spell over hurdles last spring, winning 4 times. Hasn't hit the same heights since but did hint at a return to form at Hexham 35 days ago. Cheekpieces go back on.
Warner's Cross (IRE)
Sole success in handicap hurdle at Market Rasen in summer 2024. Lost his way for Clare Hobson and has moved yards. Reverts to hurdling off much-reduced mark following a short break and betting will likely prove best guide.
Illico De Montave (FR)
Long-standing maiden is easy to oppose returning from 10 months off/breathing operation.
