Timeform View

There could be plenty more to come from EMPIRICAL and he can follow up his Nottingham win now fitted with more severe headgear up in trip. Pearl Eye is motoring for Jim Goldie and could be the danger.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Empirical traded at a high of 3.55 and Betfair SP of 2.44 when winning last time, a race in which it raced behind.

Timeform Comments

Rastnet (IRE)
Won at Wolverhampton in December and was in good form before a lesser run in a higher grade in first-time cheekpieces at Chester 6 weeks ago. This is easier and she's one to note for an in-form yard.
Obito (IRE)
Won twice last summer, including over C&D, and ran well behind Pearl Eye at Hamilton last month. Claims on that showing having struggled against a host of interesting 3-y-os at Doncaster last time.
Pearl Eye
Has made a great start for this yard, scoring at Hamilton (from Obito) last month and again over C&D a fortnight ago. Nudged up 2 lb and can go well again.
Colourband (IRE)
Successful return at Bath over this trip in April but hasn't built on that in 2 handicaps since, not looking straightforward. Has some good 2-y-o form to his name that leaves him on a fair mark if able to bounce back.
Geo (IRE)
Tough and consistent and has run well at Hamilton the last twice, just unable to produce the winner's change of pace over a steadily-run 1m last time. Back at the scene of her May win and likely to pop up again.
Empirical (IRE)
Had caught the eye on handicap debut at Nottingham before easily winning 1m event back there earlier this month, racing a bit lazily initially but storming clear. More severe headgear now on and good claims up in trip despite a 10 lb rise.
Alpine Sierra (IRE)
Benefited from going back up in distance in May, completing a hat-trick around 11f/12.5f. Fair run at Carlisle last time but looks up against it in this grade down in trip.
