Timeform View

Only a handful of these count and of that bunch, STARBORN LEGEND has been allotted the best draw, so it's not hard to see him adopting a good position and improving again. Punica Granatum, Sindagan and Almeiyda are the obvious threats.

Timeform Comments

Pettus Bridge (FR)
Looks a long-term project, 200/1 when ninth of 15 in maiden at Fairyhouse (7f, good) 20 days ago.
Rock Of The Daw (IRE)
Buratino gelding. Dam 5f winner. Rather belated debut.
Howya Pal (IRE)
€6,000 foal, £20,000 yearling, Alkumait colt. Half-brother to 1m winner Windy Blade and 2-y-o 7.5f winner Treasure of Pisa. Dam, 1m winner, half-sister to useful winner up to 9f Kadabra.
Sindagan (IRE)
Was beginning to look exposed but took his form to a new level when excellent second of 15 in maiden at Fairyhouse (7f, good) 20 days ago, clear of rest. Trainer going well and he merits serious consideration.
Spinola Bear (IRE)
€28,000 yearling, Kodi Bear gelding. Dam 7f-1m winner out of smart winner up to 7.5f (including at 2 yrs) Lady Wingshot. Yard not associated with debut winners and he looked in need of the experience at the Curragh.
Starborn Legend (IRE)
Starspangledbanner colt who cost €330,000 as a 2-y-o and offered plenty when sixth of 18 on debut at the Curragh, finishing with running left having been forced to switch. Improved as expected when second of 20 back there a month ago and he's a major player.
Uncle Goalie (IRE)
Galileo Gold colt who is half-brother to a multiple winner up to 7f abroad by Acclamation, dam, 1¼m winner, sister to smart winner up to 1½m (stayed 16.5f) Forgotten Voice. Represents fledgling yard and made a positive start when fourth at Gowran over 1m in May.
Winston's Promise (IRE)
No impact both starts.
Almeiyda (IRE)
Zarak filly who produced her best effort yet on fourth start when second of 12 dropped to 7.5f at Roscommon 4 weeks ago. Way she shaped that day suggests bare 7f will suit but stall 12 may not be ideal.
Brigids Charm (IRE)
Elzaam filly. Dam maiden (stayed 10.5f).
Caislean Ni Cuan (IRE)
Sent off 40/1 despite a mildly promising debut and again shaped well when seventh of 11 in maiden at the Curragh (7f, good to firm) 10 days ago, finishing with running left. Should have more to offer.
Punica Granatum (IRE)
Looked unlucky not to win when a short-head second of 12 to Green Carrera in a premier handicap at the Curragh in May. That winner followed up in the Sandringham at Royal Ascot and while she was disappointing last time, that was over 9f. Form pick back in distance.
Sarfarcat (IRE)
Last of 6 in minor event at Dundalk (7f, 300/1). Off 172 days.
Shelton Spring (IRE)
Arizona filly. Dam lightly raced.
Susie's Angel (IRE)
€50,000 yearling, Dark Angel filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including useful winner up to 9f Asad Zabeel and 7.4f-11f winner Shibli.
Tijuana
Remains a maiden after 11 Flat runs. Twelfth of 13 in maiden at Killarney (1m, good, 300/1) 77 days ago. RESERVE.
Iryna's Star (IRE)
Remains a maiden after 13 Flat runs. RESERVE.
