NOWWHATDOYOUTHINK's opening mark looks a handy one having finished third in the Champion Novices' Chase at Punchestown on his final start for Ray Hackett, and can provide his new yard with a record-extending sixth win in this race. Funiculi Funicula is a chaser who is firmly on the upgrade and looks the obvious threat as he bids for a hat-trick, while Henry de Bromhead holds a strong hand with Downmexicoway, Nouvotic, and Gorgeous Tom.

Three Card Brag (IRE)
Peaked in the autumn, winning at Cheltenham in good style. Far from disgraced when ninth in Grand National at Aintree and coped surprisingly well with the drop back in trip when second in Grade 3 at Killarney (20.5f) in May. Lost all chance at the start in this last year.
Funiculi Funicula (FR)
Placed in a Grade 1 over hurdles and confirmed the promise of his 2 outings in maiden chases when landing the odds at Cork in April. Took his form to another level when following up in listed handicap at the Punchestown Festival and another bold show looks likely (will stay).
Gorgeous Tom (IRE)
Shaped well when fourth of 24 in Coral Gold Cup at Newbury in November. Seen only twice since, having nothing go right in the Grand National in April. May still have a bigger performance in him.
Will The Wise (IRE)
Developed well over fences last season, winning a novice here before a good second of 23 in the Plate at the Cheltenham Festival. Went one better in the Topham at Aintree the following month and should go well again.
Jesse Evans (IRE)
Resumed winning ways in convincing fashion in a 6-runner minor event over fences (7/4) at Listowel 8 weeks ago and must be respected having been a fine second in this last year off 2 lb higher.
Ol Man Dingle (IRE)
Dual chase winner last season and resumed winning ways with a career best at Kilbeggan 6 weeks ago, albeit with little in hand.
Perceval Legallois (FR)
Best effort for a while when second at Kilbeggan 19 days ago, though once again let down by his jumping. Likely to find this too competitive.
Downmexicoway (IRE)
Advanced his form sent chasing last season, scoring at Killarney and Gowran (handicap debut). Found Irish Arkle too demanding but firmly back on track when fourth of 23 in the Plate at the Cheltenham Festival despite meeting significant interference on 2 occasions. Shortlisted.
Rocky's Diamond (IRE)
Potentially on a fair mark on the pick of his hurdles form (fourth in the Stayers' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in 2025) but has disappointed over fences since making a winning debut in maiden here in September.
Nowwhatdoyouthink (IRE)
Didn't need to improve to win 3-runner Grade 3 chase at Cork in April before producing a career best when third in Grade 1 novice at Punchestown Festival on final start for Ray Hackett. Opening mark is appealing based on that effort and has joined a yard with an excellent record in this race.
Reverend Hubert (IRE)
Versatile performer who arrives in top form having won on the Flat/over hurdles in recent weeks so can't be taken lightly back chasing on handicap debut in this sphere.
Maxxum (IRE)
Smart hurdler who made his first chase start for nearly 2 years a winning one in 5-runner minor event at Clonmel in April. Backed up that effort when fourth in Grade 3 at Killarney the following month but ran poorly in a handicap since.
Nouvotic (FR)
Progressive chaser who impressed when making a winning return in Grade 3 handicap at the Punchestown Festival, beating Conyers Hill by 10 lengths. Backed that up with good second at Wexford and prominent racing style can be an advantage here.
Buddy One (IRE)
Sixth in this last year off 5 lb higher but has generally struggled since.
King Alexander (IRE)
Multiple winner over hurdles and has made a positive start in this sphere, comfortably landing the odds in novice at Gowran. Very good fourth of 18 in Jack Richards Handicap at Cheltenham Festival before finding less than looked likely at Punchestown (found to be suffering from heat stress).
King Of Kingsfield (IRE)
Gained a third win over fences in Punchestown Grade 3 in October but well below par since.
Spread Boss Ted
Steadily-progressive sort who won novice chase at Naas by ½ length from Ballygunner Castle and coped well with the hustle and bustle of a big-field handicap when 6 lengths third of 22 to Funiculi Funicula at Punchestown. Remains low mileage for age.
Solitary Man (IRE)
Seen to good effect when winning at Kilbeggan 19 days ago by 2½ lengths from Perceval Legallois. Opposable up 7 lb in better race.
Ballygunner Castle (IRE)
Has taken well to chasing, running up to his best on handicap debut when 10¼ lengths fourth of 22 to Funiculi Funicula at the Punchestown Festival. Remains unexposed and 8 lb better off with stablemate here.
Barry Lyndon (IRE)
Produced a career best when winning 21-runner listed handicap in good style at the Punchestown Festival but needs to take another step forward to defy a 6 lb rise.
Conyers Hill (IRE)
Without a win last season but still gave a good account in competitive handicaps. After 3 months off, he ran well when second to Nouvotic in Grade 3 handicap at Punchestown (2½m) in April and backed that up with another good second at Ballinrobe.
Jalila Moriviere (FR)
Easily landed the odds in a mares' maiden at Sligo on chase bow and good runner-up efforts at Punchestown both starts this season, though couldn't get the job done after trading odds-on in running last time. RESERVE.
Boston Rover (IRE)
Progressed well over fences last summer, completing a hat-trick at Gowran in October. Ran too badly to be true at Limerick later that month but step back in right direction after 9 months off when fifth to Solitary Man at Kilbeggan. RESERVE.
Ballybawn Belter (IRE)
Won at Limerick over Christmas. Mixed record since and handicapper probably in control at present. RESERVE.
