A trappy sprint which can go the way of ELVETHAM, who got back on track when third at Leicester earlier in the month and Conrad Allen's consistent 4-y-o can notch his third career success at the expense of Lady Gormire, who is yet to finish outside the placings this year and quickly reverts to sprinting. Last year's winner Twirler rounds off the shortlist.

Timeform Comments

Twirler
Won this corresponding race last year (from 5 lb lower) and added to her tally at Windsor in May. Left a rare below-par effort behind when fourth of 8 over C&D (good to firm) 3 weeks ago and would be folly to discount.
Lady Gormire (IRE)
Took another step forward when second of 6 on handicap debut at Catterick (7f, firm) just over 3 weeks ago, getting away with the step back up in trip on a sharp track. No surprise to see her back at 6f no reason why she won't be in the mix.
Sugar Sugar (IRE)
Ran to a fair level again but continued to look a hard ride when second of 10 in maiden at Wolverhampton (6f) just over a fortnight ago (had also unseated rider beforehand). Makes her handicap debut and will need to keep her quirks in check to make an impact.
Victor Cee
Maiden winner at Hamilton over 6f for Karl Burke last summer. Yet to add to that for present yard but produced one of this season's better races back in a visor/reverted to front-running tactics when third of 4 at Yarmouth (5f, firm) recently. Cheekpieces the headgear of choice here.
Elvetham (IRE)
Won twice on the all-weather this spring. Posted string of fine placed efforts thereafter and left Newmarket flop behind returned to a lesser grade when third of 5 at Leicester (6f, good to firm) earlier in the month. Eased 1 lb and looks up to winning again reunited with Jack Gilligan.
Mount Mogan
Needed only to bounce back to form he showed when runner-up over 1m at Lingfield in November when winning 7-runner event there (7f) back in February. Makes return from 5 months off and this is his first turf start in almost exactly 3 years.
Harry Brown
Gained a first win on turf at the sixteenth attempt at Lingfield (5f) in May. Went close to another at Brighton (5f) last month and shaped a bit better than the bare result back up in trip when fifth of 8 over C&D (good to firm) 3 weeks ago. Others preferred.
