Timeform View

AMERICAN STYLE has run well in some better contests from a higher mark and looks well treated to open his account for the season on the back of an encouraging recent effort. Course specialist King of Chaos heads the list of dangers from the consistent Papa Cocktail.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

A strongly contested lead could count against American Style, who is expected to try and race close up: A strong early pace seems highly likely. Blinky could be suited if held up as expected.

Timeform Comments

Moving Force (IRE)
Missed the whole of last season but bounced back to his best when going close at 50/1 on second start for new yard at Kempton in May. Hasn't repeated that in 2 starts since though.
American Style
Added to good record fresh when a close third at Ripon on reappearance. Below form next 3 starts before another close third from a much-reduced mark over C&D 17 days ago. Has to be taken seriously dropping back in grade.
Blinky (IRE)
Course winner who's gone 14 runs since last win in 2025. Made frame last 2 starts at Chester and Southwell. Back up at 6f in a lesser grade but yard is a while without a win.
Papa Cocktail (IRE)
Reliable sort who is twice a C&D winner. 7/2, creditable third of 12 in handicap at Windsor (6f, good to firm) 18 days ago. Has yet to win off a mark this high but no reason to think he can't give his running again.
Maris Angel
In tremendous form round here last year, winning 5 handicaps from September to December. Shaped as if needing run when 8 lengths sixth to Rock Opera on return at Pontefract in June. Interesting if market speaks in her favour.
Hk Fourteen (IRE)
Won 3 times at 5f in 2025, latest at Bath with the cheekpieces on. Wasn't disgraced when eighth of 21 in handicap (50/1) at York (6f, good) just last week. Headgear goes back on for the first time this campaign.
Angel Of Anfield
Off the mark in 6f novice at Windsor last year and followed that with a good second on nursery bow at Kempton in October. Has yet to prove he's trained this season and needs the hood to work.
Hugh
Thrice-raced maiden whose best effort in novices came when second on the tapeta at Southwell in April. Not in the same form in heavy ground at Salisbury last time. Any positive market moves should be noted now tackling handicaps.
King Of Chaos (IRE)
Quirky type who's won 3 times this season, including twice over C&D from last 3 starts, latest in 12-runner handicap 2 weeks ago. Is now on a career-high mark and remains of interest round here.
Angel Love
Justified strong support when making all for a wide-margin success in maiden over C&D in November but is yet to fully fire in 2 handicaps this season. Has some questions to answer now.
