BIRD OF WAR took a step forward when third at Newcastle last time out and is weighted to double his tally here off just a 1 lb higher mark. Last year's victor Sofian appeals as the main danger ahead of Lerwick now he drops back in trip.

Took this 12 months ago and got back on track with third of 4 in handicap over C&D 7 days ago. A likely player once more.
Bird Of War (IRE)
Relatively low-mileage 3-y-o who advanced his form with third of 13 in handicap at Newcastle (7f) 40 days ago. Weighted to go close nudged up 1 lb.
Cypriot Diaspora
Successful twice over C&D last summer but she hasn't been in the same form since, a below-par third of 7 back over C&D in June. Needs to take a step forward.
Our Dagger (IRE)
Scored at Newcastle and Kempton for Daragh Bourke early last year. Well held both runs for Gerard Kyne at Galway last autumn and for another new yard in 7f Kempton handicap in March. More is required after another break.
Thestral
A fair 7f scorer for Hugo Palmer who signed off with a good third at Wetherby in June. Only tenth (in a change of headgear) in 1m Kempton handicap for his new yard 27 days ago.

Ended 2025 with very good Lingfield 7f novice second. Has failed to kick on sent handicapping and only eighth of 12 in handicap at Newbury (6f, firm) 42 days ago. Not easy to make a case for.

Got off the mark in first-time blinkers at Lingfield in February for William Muir & Chris Grassick but subsequently lost his form and has finished last all 3 starts for new connections. Visor is tried.

Unreliable individual. 3/1, only eighth of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7f) 14 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Looks a hard ride.
