He gets the vote over Warning Sign, who landed back-to-back course wins here last summer (including this race) and arrives on the back of a career-best having bolted up at Goodwood 8 weeks ago. Drumstick looks best of the rest provided he's ready to roll after 3 months off.

Bagged a pair of amateur rider events here last summer (including this corresponding race). Little impact in a pair of all-weather handicaps this spring but bounced back after an 8-week break when scoring at Goodwood (1m, heavy) 8 weeks ago. Fancied to make a bold bid to retain his crown.
Epictetus (IRE)
Winless for 3 years but has been knocking on the door this season over a variety of trips, typically giving his running when third of 5 at Lingfield (1¼m, good to firm) 5 days ago. Hopes pinned on a first-time tongue tie working the oracle.

Recorded back-to-back wins over C&D last summer. Has made the frame on 4 of his 5 outings this season, most recently when fourth of 9 at York (10.3f, good to firm) just under 4 weeks ago. Likely to prove vulnerable to less-exposed sorts.
Drumstick
Made a quiet hurdling debut for this yard at Newton Abbot last September but left that behind returned to the level in May, running out a commanding winner in 8-runner event at Windsor (1¼m, good). Returns from 7 lb higher and should be in the mix provided he's ready to go.
What's The Plan
Won 7f Lingfield maiden last in September. Gelded over the winter and has returned an improved model, giving his all reunited with a fully-fledged rider when second of 4 at Lingfield (1¼m, firm) just over a fortnight ago. Looks up to adding to his tally.
