Timeform View

SHABOOZEE looked firmly on the up over hurdles last season and is taken to make a winning return for a yard still in excellent order. Jabbar has a bit to find on form but is consistent and gets the benefit of a good-value conditional, so rates the main danger, while Mode Avion is also respected.

Timeform Comments

Jabbar (IRE)
Has proved more consistent over hurdles than on the Flat, but doesn’t look especially well treated in either sphere. Down the field on his last 2 Flat outings and, while the return to hurdling may help, he shaped as if further would suit when last seen in this sphere in March.
Mode Avion (FR)
Stepped up from previous hurdling starts when making a winning handicap debut at Fairyhouse in February and backed that up at Limerick the following month. Probably one race too many when down the field at Punchestown in April. Returns with the yard rather quiet at present, however.
Tassarolo
Won twice over hurdles last season but ran poorly sole handicap outing in this sphere. Arrives fit from the Flat but he'll need to step up if he's to make much of an impact here.
Ma Belle Etoile (IRE)
Won novice hurdle at Cork and C&D beginners chase last summer. Suffered a heavy fall at this course last time. Wears first-time tongue strap now tackling a handicap over hurdles.
Shaboozee (IRE)
Progressive hurdler last season, winning twice at Ballinrobe in August and then shaping better than the distance beaten suggests when 7 lengths fourth of 17 to Last Kingdom at Listowel on final start having been stuck behind weakening rival at crucial stage. Returns with top yard in good form.
Now So Jake (IRE)
Dual winning pointer who built on hurdling debut when taking 15-runner maiden at Cork (3m, good to soft) in July 2024. Ran too badly to be true (found to have bled) the following month and not seen since.
Splashing Out (IRE)
Returned to form back over hurdles at Downpatrick in May and built on that to land a 6-runner handicap at Tramore (2m, good) later that month. Her inconsistency again reared its head when well beaten at Galway 9 days ago, though.
Wonderfulwonderful (IRE)
Fairly useful on Flat and struck at first time of asking over hurdles in Killarney juvenile in August 2025. Respectable efforts in listed events on her next 2 outings. Best excused handicap hurdle debut last time for all she has work to do from present mark.
